Former West Ham striker Paulo Di Canio has slammed Manchester United’s decision to sell Scott McTominay to Napoli for just \u00a325 million.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Italian believes that the Red Devils significantly undervalued the Scottish midfielder, who has been a standout performer for the Serie A champions since his summer move.<\/p>\n

McTominay has already contributed two goals and an assist in his last three appearances for Napoli.<\/p>\n

Di Canio expressed his dismay at United’s decision to let McTominay go, suggesting that United could have commanded a much higher fee for the 27-year-old, especially given his versatility and ability to contribute in multiple positions.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Il Mattino<\/em>, he jokingly went as far as to say the club’s directors should be arrested for such a decision.<\/p>\n

“I would go to those at Manchester United<\/a> to arrest all the directors,” Di Canio said. “How can you give McTominay away?”<\/p>\n
