{"id":12930,"date":"2024-10-14T21:37:54","date_gmt":"2024-10-14T21:37:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sportscasting.com\/uk\/?p=12930"},"modified":"2024-10-14T21:37:54","modified_gmt":"2024-10-14T21:37:54","slug":"ea-fc-open-world-feature-announced","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sportscasting.com\/uk\/news\/ea-fc-open-world-feature-announced\/","title":{"rendered":"EA Announces Open-World Feature Will Be Introduced In Future FC Titles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Game developer EA has confirmed they are looking to introduce an open-world element to future EA FC games.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Reminiscent of a similar feature on the NBA2K series, players in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportscasting.com\/uk\/news\/ea-fc-25-goalkeeper-glitch-leaves-players-begging-for-a-patch-to-fix-game-breaking-bug\/\">EA FC<\/a> and EA&#8217;s Madden NFL and College Football games will soon be able to explore and play in an expansive, free-roam experience.<\/p>\n<p>In a video which has recently emerged online, EA president Cam Weber confirmed the new feature.<\/p>\n<p>He said: \u201cOur teams are hard at work on a couple of new projects.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019re building unique, new experiences. Virtual open-world playground space, where you, your friends and the fan community can come together to experience avatar-based collective play \u2013 both competitive and casual.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese new experiences will have creativity, connection, self-expression and emergent gameplay at the forefront.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow we are talking about two distinctly different experiences for FC and our American football franchises.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd while we\u2019re not ready to share more just yet, we are incredibly excited to release these new experiences into our ecosystems in the years ahead.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\ud83d\udea8 EA CONFIRMING OPEN WORLD IS COMING TO EA FC IN THE FUTURE!<\/p>\n<p>THIS IS INSANE! \ud83e\udd2f\ud83e\udd2f<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/TCsXGhrcY6\">pic.twitter.com\/TCsXGhrcY6<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; FGZ \u26bd\ufe0f\ud83c\udfae (@FGZNews) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FGZNews\/status\/1845809740665807196?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 14, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Though Weber did not give more details, this announcement represents a huge development for the series.<\/p>\n<p>Accused by many of going stale, the FIFA\/EAFC franchise has been crying out for innovation.<\/p>\n<p>And while it may not be to everyone&#8217;s taste, this is certainly new and exciting for many.<\/p>\n<p>We do not yet know the specifics of the feature, but images teased in the background suggest players will be able to explore a range of environments.<\/p>\n<p>There is potential to drop in and out of kick-a-bouts at the park, or walk around stadiums as if you were there as a fan.<\/p>\n<p>There are huge possibilities for the game mode, and it could rekindle some lost love among players disappointed with this year&#8217;s game.<\/p>\n<h2>EA FC Open World Isn&#8217;t Something All Fans Are Interested In<\/h2>\n<p>But while some have greeted the announcement warmly, others are less enthused.<\/p>\n<p>One user on X (formerly Twitter) joked: &#8220;But you&#8217;d still have to press a button seven times for it to register,&#8221; &#8211; a reference to EA FC 25&#8217;s laggy and unresponsive gameplay.<\/p>\n<p>Others pointed out that there may be a limited scope for what can actually be done in an open-world <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportscasting.com\/uk\/betting-sites\/football\/\">football<\/a> game besides different ways to play football.<\/p>\n<p>And a particularly disgruntled fan added that this new feature was &#8220;the definition of not knowing what your players actually what.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Game developer EA has confirmed they are looking to introduce an open-world element to future EA FC games.
