Best FPL Gameweek 8 Forwards To Target<\/h2>\n

As form and fixtures collide, some key forward targets are coming to the fore for FPL Gameweek 8, while injury absences continue for early season bandwagons Alexander Isak and Joao Pedro.<\/p>\n

So which forwards warrant you transferring in?<\/p>\n

Chris Wood (\u00a36.2m)<\/h3>\n

Nottingham Forest striker Chris Wood isn\u2019t the most attractive of fantasy targets since he\u2019s never had a prolific season in the game, with 14 goals his best tally.<\/p>\n

However, he has hit double digits for goals in five seasons, which shouldn\u2019t be overlooked at this price point and ownership.<\/p>\n

This season is no exception. Wood already has four goals in seven appearances this season, having started every single game for Nottingham Forest<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The experiment of starting striker partner Taiwo Awoniyi alongside him failed in Gameweek 6 against Fulham, meaning Wood is now nailed on to start.<\/p>\n

We also now know that he\u2019s Nottingham Forest\u2019s first-choice penalty taker, which provides an additional route to points.<\/p>\n

Nottingham Forest have three home games in their next four, with an attractive schedule of Crystal Palace<\/a>, Leicester City, West Ham and Newcastle United.<\/p>\n

Dominic Solanke (\u00a37.6m)<\/h3>\n

It was a turbulent start to the season for Spurs’ new signing Dominic Solanke, who picked up an injury in Gameweek 1 and missed the subsequent two Gameweeks.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s seen his ownership drop significantly to just over 10%, but he\u2019s since produced three attacking returns in the last three Gameweeks.<\/p>\n

Solanke has the potential to be massively underpriced in the game, since he was a Bournemouth\u2019s<\/a> striker when his price was set.<\/p>\n

He certainly has the potential to come close to the 19 goals he scored last season, as a 90 minute man in a top six team and with Heung-min Son a doubt, he may also be on penalties.<\/p>\n

After a challenging run of fixtures, Spurs now hit a more favourable spell where they have three home games in their next four.<\/p>\n

The schedule comprises West Ham, Crystal Palace, Aston Villa and Ipswich, with the potential for goals. Solanke does have a European schedule to also navigate though.<\/p>\n

Kai Havertz (\u00a38.3m)<\/h3>\n

Arsenal\u2019s Kai Havertz has been flagged with an injury doubt over the international break but it\u2019s not thought to be a significant issue, so wait for news in Mikel Arteta\u2019s press conference on Friday before making a decision.<\/p>\n

Havertz remains a sound route into the Arsenal<\/a> attack as their number nine, with the side thriving despite the injury to Martin Odegaard.<\/p>\n

He has five goal involvements in seven appearances this season, and has been supported by Gabriel Jesus and Leandro Trossard as strike partners in recent weeks.<\/p>\n

This week Arsenal travel to Bournemouth who have won just one of their last four games, conceding six goals in this period and failing to keep a clean sheet.<\/p>\n
