Gary O’Neil and his struggling Wolves side welcome title-chasing reigning champions Manchester City<\/a> to Molineux on Sunday, where they’ll be hoping for a miracle to record their first league win of the campaign.<\/p>\n

Wolves head into Gameweek 8 occupying 20th place in the Premier League<\/a> table, level on points with 19th place Southampton, having earned just one point from their opening seven league fixtures this term.<\/p>\n

They come into the tie off the back of five successive losses across all competitions, which includes four league defeats and one Carabao Cup defeat, most recently losing 5-3 to Brentford in the English capital.<\/p>\n

City, meanwhile, headed into the international window up in second place, just a point behind league leaders Liverpool<\/a> and level on points with title-rivals Arsenal.<\/p>\n

Last time out, Pep Guardiola<\/a>‘s side narrowly edged past Fulham 3-2, avoiding a shock result at home despite initially going behind, which maintained their unbeaten start to the season across all competitions.<\/p>\n

The hosts are without a quartet of first-team players through injury, with Sasa Kalajdzic, Yerson Mosquera, Boubacar Traore and Enso Gonzalez nursing their respective issues.<\/p>\n

Wolves will also be without important attacker Hwang Hee-chan after the South Korean picked up an injury while away on international duty during a World Cup qualifying<\/a> match against Jordan last week.<\/p>\n

Manchester City Team News<\/h2>\n

The Cityzens have several injury concerns ahead of their trip to the Midlands, with both Rodri<\/a> and Oscar Bobb confirmed to be unavailable. Rodri is set to miss the remainder of the campaign after suffering a knee injury last month, while Bobb is still recovering from a leg fracture suffered in August.<\/p>\n

Kevin De Bruyne and Nathan Ake were the other two concerns. De Bruyne missed his side’s last five games prior to the international window due to a groin issue, while Ake has missed the last seven with a muscle problem.<\/p>\n

But with Ake pictured in training on Thursday afternoon, he has been deemed fit enough for the bench.<\/p>\n

De Bruyne, however, has not made this afternoon’s match day squad.<\/p>\n
