This Saturday’s Futurity Trophy Stakes at Doncaster has been a Group One race dominated by the Ballydoyle team in Ireland – but just how many times has trainer Aidan O’Brien won the Futurity Stakes?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Aidan O’Brien Has Trained Eleven Futurity Trophy Stakes Winners<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Some of the most promising 2 year-olds in training will be heading to Doncaster racecourse this Saturday for the Group One Futurity Trophy Stakes<\/strong> – a race that carries a \u00a3127,576 first prize.<\/p>\n

The market with the best horse racing betting sites in the UK<\/a> is headed by the James Owen-trained Wimbledon Hawkeye, who was an impressive winner of the Royal Lodge Stakes at Newmarket last time\u00a0 out.<\/p>\n

However, with a massive ELEVEN past wins in the Futurity Stakes, it would also be foolish to ignore any runners that trainer Aidan O’Brien<\/strong> sends over from this Ballydoyle base.<\/p>\n

The race, which slightly older horse racing<\/a> lovers will remember as the Racing Post Trophy, has also been a fair guide to the following season’s Classics – the 2000 Guineas and Epsom Derby in particular.<\/p>\n

With the 2019 winner Kameko winning the Futurity Trophy and then the 2000 Guineas the following year in 2020.<\/p>\n

While the 2022 winner Auguste Rodin, who was also trained by Aidan O’Brien, went onto land the Epsom Derby in his 3 year-old season.<\/p>\n

That win for Auguste Rodin was O’Brien’s 13th in total and most recent heading into the 2024 renewal, with his first coming way back in 1997 with Saratoga Springs.<\/p>\n

Between that winner and 2022, Aidan O’Brien has had other big names like Saxon Warrior, Camelot, St Nicholas Abbey and High Chaparral win the Futurity Stakes.<\/p>\n
