Brentford manager Thomas Frank has responded to reports linking him with the Manchester United job following Erik ten Hag’s departure from the club on Monday morning.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Manchester United officially announced the departure of head coach Erik ten Hag<\/a> on Monday morning, with assistant coach Ruud van Nistelrooy due to take over from his compatriot in an interim capacity going forward.<\/p>\n

This is while the club conducts a search for their next permanent manager, although the UK’s best football betting sites<\/a> are still favouring Van Nistelrooy to be given the job long term.<\/p>\n

Other options that have been mooted in the media include the likes of Gareth Southgate<\/a>, Ruben Amorim, Xavi, Graham Potter and Kieran McKenna, but also Brentford boss Thomas Frank.<\/p>\n

Frank has been linked with the United job in the past, having enjoyed an impressive spell in West London with the Bees, and he is now being dubbed as a candidate for the role once again. The Dane provided a response to the rumours in his latest press conference.<\/p>\n

When speaking to the media ahead of Brentford vs Sheffield Wednesday<\/a> in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday, Frank was quizzed on whether he’d be interested in the now-vacant Manchester United managerial role.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a very delicate question. I\u2019ve got a big responsibility to Brentford, the fans, [owner] Matthew [Denham], the leadership, the staff, and I\u2019ve got one focus and that\u2019s to do our best and beat Sheffield Wednesday in the Carabao Cup.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve said many, many times but I\u2019m very happy here. It\u2019s one of the best clubs in the world. What happens in the future, who knows? But I\u2019m very, very happy here.”<\/p>\n
