With the news that Gary Lineker will be stepping down as Match Of The Day host at the end of this season, the SportsCasting <\/a>traders have priced up the next MOTD presenter odds. With three current BBC employees heading the market.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Alex Scott Favourite In Next MOTD Presenter Odds Market<\/strong><\/h2>\n

So, after plenty of rumours over the last few months, we now know that Gary Lineker<\/a> will blow the full-time whistle on his Match Of The Day career at the end of this season.<\/p>\n

The BBC stalwart will step down from the 25-year role he’s made his own, but there are reports that he’ll still be involved with the BBC for the 2026 World Cup.<\/p>\n

Anyway, this has prompted many to speculate who will be the next MOTD presenter – and land one of the biggest jobs in TV and football<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Jermaine Jenas Would Have Been A Big Favourite For MOTD Role<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A few months ago, Jermaine Jenas would have been a clear front-runner with the best football betting sites in the UK <\/a>to get the job.<\/p>\n

However, his off the field antics that saw him getting sacked by the Beeb have left his hopes non-existent.<\/p>\n

Which means with Jenas out of the running, this will be a huge bonus for Alex Scott<\/strong>. Who is the early favourite in the next MOTD presenter odds market.<\/p>\n

Scott, who has impressed with her Football Focus hosting duties since taking over from Dan Walker in 2021 and has been installed as the odds-on favourite to replace Gary Lineker.<\/p>\n
