Tommy Fury has revealed why he decided to reject I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here to instead make his boxing return against Darren Till.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The half-brother of Tyson Fury<\/a> will return to the ring in January to take on former UFC star Darren Till.<\/a><\/p>\n

It will be his first fight in 15 months since his controversial win over YouTuber-turned-boxer KSI.<\/p>\n

Tommy Fury’s return to boxing<\/a> was affected by a hand surgery he underwent back in January.<\/p>\n

Since then he broke up with his former fiancee Molly-Mae Hague, who he met while appearing on ITV reality show Love Island.<\/p>\n

He had been lined up to appear on the newest series of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here<\/a>. He would have appeared alongside the likes of Coleen Rooney and former boxer Barry McGuigan if he had done so.<\/p>\n

But Tommy Fury, who is unbeaten in 10 fights, opted to instead fight Darren Till.<\/p>\n

Tommy Fury’s Future Plans To Do I’m A Celebrity<\/h2>\n

Tommy Fury revealed that he still plans to go on I’m a Celebrity in the Future. However, he still prioritises his boxing and is looking forward to a fight with Darren Till.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m A Celeb is an amazing show and it\u2019s something I want to do in the future but at the end of the day I am what I am, I\u2019m a fighter and I\u2019ve been doing it since I was a kid,” Fury said as per the Metro.<\/a><\/p>\n

“It\u2019s been a long year, it\u2019s been a tough year; it\u2019s been the hardest year of my life because I\u2019ve not been able to box.<\/p>\n

“It was vital that I ended up in the ring sooner rather than later. It means everything to get back in the ring, especially to start off my year like that.”<\/p>\n

Tommy Fury also took a dig at KSI while praising his next opponent Darren Till.<\/p>\n

He said: “I want to be remembered for doing it my way; I got in, got my money, got out and had some entertaining fights along the way.<\/p>\n

“I beat the best-known guys on the scene and Darren Till is a proper fighting man. I like the fact he has a fighting background; he\u2019s going to come for a fight, something KSI never did.”<\/p>\n

Chaotic Press Conference Ahead Of Fight<\/h2>\n

A press conference unveiling the fight between Tommy Fury and Darren Till predictably descended into chaos earlier this week.<\/p>\n

Tommy\u2019s father John throwing a glass of water over Till, who threatened to kick his opponent in the face when they meet in the ring in the New Year.<\/p>\n

After the press conference, Fury said: “Till had a good UFC career, but he is stepping into the boxing ring now, against a proper pro, and he will quickly realise that he is out of his depth, and this is not the game for him.<\/p>\n
