Liverpool could increase their activity in the upcoming transfer windows, as the reds are reportedly interested in Lyon star, Rayan Cherki.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Liverpool Transfer News: Reds Target Rayan Cherki<\/h2>\n

The Frenchman has become a hot prospect in Europe after his performances for Lyon and he could become available in the upcoming transfer window.<\/p>\n

This comes after Lyon were handed a ‘provisional relegation’ <\/a>due to financial issues and the club will need to raise funds to avoid this fate.<\/p>\n

Liverpool have reportedly been alerted by this news and are now in contact with the French side over a fee for the young midfielder.<\/p>\n

Arne Slot has not made many signings as Liverpool manager, only adding Federico Chiesa to his 2024\/25 squad and signing Valencia’s Giorgi Mamardashvili who will join at the beginning of next season.<\/p>\n

Despite this lack of recruitment, the Dutchman has made a superb start to life as Liverpool boss after replacing Jurgen Klopp.<\/p>\n

The Reds sit top of the Premier League after 11 matches, conceding just six goals and boasting a five point lead over Manchester City – leaving them as favourites to win the league on UK betting sites<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Their form in Europe has been faultless, winning their first four matches, conceding one goal and sitting top of the new Champions League table format.<\/p>\n

A move for Cherki has reportedly got off the ground, with Slot and the Liverpool board being in agreement over the Frenchman’s ability.<\/p>\n

There could be an issue over a transfer fee, as Lyon have set their asking price at around \u00a324.9 million but may ask for around \u00a330m.<\/p>\n

Lyon need to raise around \u00a391m to balance their books and avoid any chance of being relegated to Ligue 2 – meaning they may have to compromise on a transfer fee.<\/p>\n
