{"id":20024,"date":"2024-11-21T16:22:45","date_gmt":"2024-11-21T16:22:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sportscasting.com\/uk\/?p=20024"},"modified":"2024-11-21T16:22:45","modified_gmt":"2024-11-21T16:22:45","slug":"az-blackbox-wildcard-gameweek-12","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sportscasting.com\/uk\/news\/az-blackbox-wildcard-gameweek-12\/","title":{"rendered":"Why You Should Swerve Erling Haaland \u2013 Az From Blackbox Builds His Best FPL Wildcard Team For Gameweek 12"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Az from Blackbox is back with another round of FPL tips \u2013 this week centred around the best FPL Wildcard team for Gameweek 12.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;ve made it this far without playing your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportscasting.com\/uk\/fantasy-premier-league\/\">FPL<\/a> Wildcard yet, I salute you.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;ve still got the chip, for many people this is likely to be a great week to use it, with fixtures turing for teams such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportscasting.com\/uk\/news\/next-arsenal-manager-odds\/\">Arsenal<\/a>, Chelsea, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportscasting.com\/uk\/news\/brighton-overhaul-scouting-team-data-driven-recruitment-model\/\">Brighton<\/a>, and Newcastle and some great options emerging for consideration.<\/p>\n<p>Below, I&#8217;ve put together a team that should be achievable for most budgets. With some great cut-price players available with fantastic fixtures, it shouldn&#8217;t be too hard to fit in three &#8220;heavy hitters&#8221;.<\/p>\n<h2>FPL Wildcard Team Gameweek 12<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>GK &#8211; Bart Verbruggen (\u00a34.5m)<\/li>\n<li>GK &#8211; Lukas Fabianski (\u00a34.0m)<\/li>\n<li>DEF &#8211; Ibrahima Konate (\u00a35.4m)<\/li>\n<li>DEF &#8211; Gabriel (\u00a36.0m)<\/li>\n<li>DEF &#8211; Lewis Hall (\u00a34.4m)<\/li>\n<li>DEF &#8211; Rayan Ait-Nouri (\u00a34.7m)<\/li>\n<li>DEF &#8211; Sepp van den Berg (\u00a34.1m)<\/li>\n<li>MID &#8211; Mohamed Salah (\u00a312.9m)<\/li>\n<li>MID &#8211; Cole Palmer (\u00a310.9m)<\/li>\n<li>MID &#8211; Bukayo Saka (\u00a310.1m)<\/li>\n<li>MID &#8211; Bryan Mbeumo (\u00a37.9m)<\/li>\n<li>MID &#8211; Morgan Rogers (\u00a35.4m)<\/li>\n<li>FWD &#8211; Alexander Isak (\u00a38.5m)<\/li>\n<li>FWD &#8211; Joao Pedro (\u00a35.5m)<\/li>\n<li>FWD &#8211; Matheus Cunha (\u00a36.8m)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Goalkeeper and Defence<\/h3>\n<p>My own team is stacked in defence, and I am desperately seeing a way to shift some funds into midfield. <strong>David Raya<\/strong> (\u00a35.5m) is an obviously enticing option and cut price route into the Arsenal defence, but I&#8217;m going to suggest you take <strong>Bart Verbruggen<\/strong> (\u00a34.5m). It&#8217;s a great price for the Brighton keeper, who has three clean sheets this season and has already played the likes of Manchester City, Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool, and Chelsea.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ibrahima Konate<\/strong> (\u00a35.4m) is an easy route into what looks to be the meanest defence this season, and <strong>Gabriel<\/strong> has the goal threat to make him the pick of the Arsenal defenders. <strong>Lewis Hall<\/strong> (\u00a34.4m) seems to have finally nailed down his spot in the Newcastle lineup. In reserve, <strong>Rayan Ait-Nouri<\/strong> (\u00a34.7m) has a sea of green fixtures until after Christmas and has five attacking returns already this season, and <strong>Sepp van den Berg<\/strong> (\u00a34.1m) is just there to make up the numbers really \u2013 if you&#8217;ve got more funds, why not take a punt on <strong>Leif Davis<\/strong> (\u00a34.5m), who might not be getting clean sheets but has similar underlying attacking stats to <strong>Trent Alexander-Arnold<\/strong> (\u00a37.0m).<\/p>\n<h3>Midfield<\/h3>\n<p>Look at what you can do without Erling Haaland (\u00a315.2m). <strong>Mohamed Salah<\/strong> (\u00a312.9m), <strong>Cole Palmer<\/strong> (\u00a310.9m), and <strong>Bukayo Saka<\/strong> (\u00a310.1m) all slot in nicely as their team&#8217;s talisman. All should hit over 200 points this season and present brilliant captain options over the festive schedule. <strong>Bryan Mbeumo<\/strong> (\u00a37.9m) remains a lock given the next two fixtures, but note the fixtures do turn from Gameweek 14, so he may be one of your first exits. I&#8217;m a huge fan of <strong>Morgan Rogers<\/strong> (\u00a35.4m), who I still think will be the best value pick in the game this season. He has an attacking role in a Villa team who have struggled of late but have the fixtures on the horzion to bounce back.<\/p>\n<h3>Forwards<\/h3>\n<p>No Haaland, but three talismans for their respective clubs up front. <strong>Alexander Isak<\/strong> (\u00a38.5m) is on a great run of form for both club and country after recovering from injury, which coincides with Newcastle looking far more vibrant from an attacking point of view. <strong>Joao Pedro<\/strong> (\u00a35.5m) showed what he can do in an 11-minute blitz against Man City, and if you saw my article a few weeks ago on <strong>Mathues Cunha<\/strong> (\u00a36.8m), you&#8217;ll know what a big fan I am of his.<\/p>\n<h3>Other Players To Consider<\/h3>\n<p>Of course, the above is just my favoured selection; there&#8217;s plenty of other players to consider if you don&#8217;t fancy any of my picks. <strong>Jurrien Timber<\/strong> (\u00a35.5m) looks a great differential after the news of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportscasting.com\/uk\/news\/ben-white-injury-surgery\/\">Ben White&#8217;s injury<\/a> seemingly locking his starts in for the forseeable.<\/p>\n<p>For the brave FPL manager who is willing to overlook his previous &#8220;troll&#8221; status, <strong>Lucas Digne<\/strong> (\u00a34.7m) also has the form and fixtures to excel.<\/p>\n<p>In midfield, <strong>Bruno Fernandes<\/strong> (\u00a38.4m) is acquiring plenty of new owners after hitting 17 points against Leicester last gameweek. You could even take a punt on <strong>Marcus Rashford<\/strong> (\u00a36.9m), who may get a chance to impress up top if some of the rumours surrounding <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportscasting.com\/uk\/news\/how-manchester-united-will-line-up-under-ruben-amorim-as-sporting-cp-coach-enters-advanced-talks\/\">Ruben Amorim&#8217;s tactics<\/a> are to be believed.<\/p>\n<p>Up front, <strong>Nicolas Jackson<\/strong> (\u00a37.9m) is a strong selection, but I must admit I am a little put off by his four yellow cards.
