When Is 2025 York Ebor Festival?<\/h2>\n

Hot on the heels of the Glorious Goodwood<\/a> meeting comes the York Ebor Festival<\/strong> – a horse racing fixture of the highest quality and the big season highlight for the grade-A North Yorkshire venue.<\/p>\n

The meeting runs over four days and in 2025 will be staged between Wednesday 20th to Saturday 23rd August this year, with top Group One contests The Juddmonte Stakes, Nunthorpe Stakes and Yorkshire Oaks just three of the standout contests.<\/p>\n

It’s also a meeting that is named after the Ebor Handicap – an ultra-competitive staying flat race that was first run back in 1843 and is the most valuable flat handicap race in Europe with \u00a3300,000 on offer to the winner.<\/p>\n

The race this year also has an added interest with the Ebor Community Sweepstake<\/a> – were 22 good causes to and land \u00a320k for their charity.<\/p>\n

          What Are The Main York Ebor Festival 2025 Races?<\/h2>\n

          Across the four-day York Ebor Festival there many top races. Including three Group One contests and the Ebor Handicap, which is staged on the final day.<\/p>\n

          Wednesday – Juddmonte International (Group One)<\/h3>\n

          This year’s Juddmonte International Stakes will only see six horses head to post. But we could get a rematch of the Coral-Eclispe as the first and second Delacroix and Ombudsman are set to run (watch below).<\/p>\n

          They take on Danon Decile from Japan, unbeaten French raider Daryz, and the Andrew Balding-trained See The Fire in what is a small but select field.<\/p>\n

          Gosden, who trains Ombudsman, and Aidan O’Brien, who looks after Delacroix, have won five of the last seven renewals between them.<\/p>\n

          Last year the race was won by Epsom Derby hero City Of Troy.<\/p>\n
