Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has found himself the target of playful jibes in the Reds\u2019 dressing room after his public criticism of Mohamed Salah.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Carragher recently expressed disappointment over Salah\u2019s remarks about his unresolved contract situation<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Egyptian forward, whose current deal expires at the end of the season, admitted he felt \u201cmore out than in\u201d regarding his future at Anfield, raising eyebrows among fans and pundits.<\/p>\n

Salah\u2019s comments came after Liverpool\u2019s narrow 3-2 victory over Southampton<\/a> and were seen by Carragher as ill-timed.<\/p>\n

Carragher\u2019s Comments on Salah<\/h3>\n

In his criticism, Carragher told Sky Sports<\/em> he was disheartened by Salah\u2019s decision to discuss his contract issues publicly, especially at such a crucial point in the season.<\/p>\n

The former centre-back argued that Salah\u2019s focus \u2014 as well as that of other Liverpool<\/a> stars \u2014 should remain on securing the Premier League<\/a> title.<\/p>\n

“I am very disappointed with Mo Salah,” he remarked.<\/p>\n

“Now, the most important thing for Liverpool this season is not the future of Salah, Virgil van Dijk, or Trent Alexander-Arnold<\/a>. It\u2019s Liverpool winning the Premier League \u2014 that is more important than any of those players,\u201d Carragher said.<\/p>\n

He also questioned the behaviour of Salah and his agent, Ramy Abbas, pointing to cryptic social media posts as distractions that could unsettle the team.<\/p>\n
