The Sean Strickland next fight is a hot topic of conversation, with the former 185-pound champion looking to get back in the win column following his second UFC Middleweight Title defeat to Dricus du Plessis.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sean Strickland Next Fight: When Will The Former UFC Middleweight Champion Return?<\/h2>\n

Sean Strickland is one of the biggest names in the UFC right now. The former UFC Middleweight Champion was just the second man to beat Israel Adesanya at 185-pounds after Alex Pereira<\/a>. ‘Tarzan’ won UFC gold at the first time of asking back in September 2023, but has since lost the belt.<\/p>\n

As well as being an elite fighter, Strickland is also one of the most followed UFC fighters in the world<\/a>, with over 2.3 million Instagram followers. This makes him the 19th most popular UFC fighter on the current roster as of today.<\/p>\n

Sean Strickland’s record is an impressive 29-7, which consists of 11 knockout victories, five submissions and 14 decision wins. The 33-year-old is also widely regarded as one of the best middleweights in the world right now, despite losing two of his\u00a0 last three fights.<\/p>\n

UFC<\/a> fans last saw the American fighter in action at UFC 312 in early February, where he was defeated for the second time by the reigning middleweight king Dricus du Plessis<\/a>. The fight was of course a rematch of the bout Strickland originally lost his title in, but he was well beaten second time around.<\/p>\n

Regarding the Sean Strickland next fight, ‘Tarzan’ will likely take a few months off before considering as return to the octagon. He remains a Top 10 and arguably Top 5 middleweight contender, so there are certainly plenty of options left for the 33-year-old going forward.<\/p>\n

The Sean Strickland next fight will be an intriguing one, that is for sure. The likes of Khamzat Chimaev<\/a>, Nassourdine Imavov and Caio Borralho are now all ahead of him in the title picture, meaning each of those three options are highly unlikely.<\/p>\n
