Stevenson’s next fight headlines in New York, with some blockbuster fights on the horizon should he come through this next test against an undefeated opponent.<\/p>\n

Shakur Stevenson Next Fight: WBC World Lightweight Title Defence vs William Zepeda on July 12th<\/h2>\n

Shakur Stevenson is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in world boxing right now. His talents most definitely match his popularity, with many fans viewing Stevenson as one of the most skilful and talented fighters in the entire sport of boxing. Period.<\/p>\n

The 2016 Rio Olympic Silver Medallist has beaten all comers in his career to date since turning professional back in 2017. Stevenson’s resum\u00e9 is highly impressive, and consists of wins over the likes of Oscar Valdez, Robson Conceicao and Jamel Herring to name but a few.<\/p>\n

Shakur Stevenson’s record is currently a perfect 23-0. This includes 11 knockout victories. Not only that, but Stevenson has won seven world title fights in total, barely losing a round in his pro career.<\/p>\n

The 27-year-old will aim to improve this record in his next fight, which has been confirmed for July 12th in New York. Stevenson’s next fight sees him take on the 33-0 Mexican puncher William Zepeda.<\/p>\n

This is a tricky fight for Shakur, but one he is still the favourite to win. Despite being undefeated himself, Zepeda has looked very beatable in his last few bouts. Someone as good as the unbeaten American should be able to exploit his weaknesses.<\/p>\n

The Shakur Stevenson next fight is one of the most important of his career. If he wins in style, then it looks like all roads could finally lead to a super fight with Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis in 2026.<\/p>\n

Having only recently signed with Matchroom Boxing, promoter Eddie Hearn<\/a> will undoubtedly have huge plans for the three-division world champion going forward in 2026 and beyond.<\/p>\n

Some fights that have been mentioned for Shakur are absolutely gigantic ones. The Gervonta Davis fight is of course the frontrunner if it can get made next. Both fighters are unbeaten and the fight could be a real possibility in the next 12 months.<\/p>\n

A different unification clash with Ray Muratalla could be another potential avenue to explore. Another is of course the super-fight against the winner of the Sam Noakes vs Abdullah Mason fight for the vacant WBO 135-pound crown.<\/p>\n

After insisting that Vasyl Lomachenko was ‘ducking’ him<\/a>, a fight between Shakur and the great Ukrainian can no longer go down following Loma’s retirement earlier this year. Instead, the 27-year-old will have to find other opponents to fight going forward.<\/p>\n

No matter who stands opposite Shakur Stevenson in the ring will likely be the underdog. The American really is a classy operator and one of the best all-round fighters from any weight division in boxing today.<\/p>\n
