Real Madrid are reportedly plotting a move for Manchester United star Diogo Dalot as an alternative to Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Real Madrid Interested In Signing Diogo Dalot<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Los Blancos<\/a> have been heavily linked with Trent Alexander-Arnold<\/a>, whose Liverpool contract expires next summer.<\/p>\n

Despite the possibility of signing him on a free transfer, convincing him to leave his boyhood club is still a big ask.<\/p>\n

Spanish publication Relevo<\/a> have reported that Los Blancos could instead pursue a move for Manchester United’s Diogo Dalot.<\/p>\n

This would be a blow for new Red Devils boss Ruben Amorim<\/a>, with Dalot one of the club’s more consistent performers amid recent struggles.<\/p>\n

Real Madrid value potential Alexander-Arnold alternative Dalot at a fee worth around \u00a341m, and have already reportedly approached Manchester United over the player.<\/p>\n

Dalot – who is contracted until 2028 – joined United from Porto in 2018 and has made 178 appearances.<\/p>\n

Carlo Ancelotti’s side are currently operating without a right-back. Dani Carvajal suffered an ACL injury that will sideline him for the rest of the term.<\/p>\n

Can Liverpool tempt Alexander-Arnold into signing a new deal?<\/h2>\n

Arne Slot<\/a>\u00a0has enjoyed a dream start to life as Liverpool manager but things could start to turn in the opposite direction if the club can\u2019t lock down their star players on new contracts.<\/p>\n

Mohamed Salah<\/a>, Virgil van Dijk and Real Madrid target Alexander-Arnold<\/a> are all set to leave Liverpool as free agents at the end of the season. The Reds will have to get to work as soon as possible to keep their flagship talents.<\/p>\n

Regarded as one of the best full-backs in Premier League history, Alexander-Arnold has enjoyed a decorated career at Liverpool.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s won the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup twice,\u00a0Champions League<\/a>, Super Cup and Club World Cup. So he may feel he\u2019s done everything he can at Liverpool.<\/p>\n

Previous reports suggested Real Madrid could sign Alexander-Arnold on a pre-contract agreement in January, ahead of a move next summer.<\/p>\n
