An Andy Robertson red card has left Liverpool fans seething after the left-back was dismissed against Fulham at Anfield.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Cottagers took a surprise lead on Merseyside when Andreas Pereira’s deflected volley – off Robertson – went beyond the reach of Alisson.<\/p>\n

Barely five minutes later, Robertson had a moment of madness when he wiped out Harry Wilson. The Welshman was through on goal after he capitalised on a mistake by the 30-year-old only to be hauled down.<\/p>\n

VAR checked the original decision and decided the referee’s punishment was just. The check is understood to be for denying a goalscoring opportunity – not endangering an opponent.<\/p>\n

At half-time, the west Londoners still lead in what could be a huge moment in the season. If the result stays in Marco Silva’s favour, of course.<\/p>\n
