Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has admitted that he’s ‘not good enough’ after his side were beaten 2-1 by Manchester United in Sunday’s derby clash at the Etihad.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Reigning Premier League champions Manchester City<\/a> were left stunned on Sunday, as Manchester United completed a late comeback to win 2-1 in the latest edition of the Manchester derby.<\/p>\n

The Cityzens took a 36th-minute lead through Josko Gvardiol, but United drew level on the 88-minute mark through a Bruno Fernandes penalty after Amad Diallo<\/a> was brought down in the box by Matheus Nunes.<\/p>\n

Two minutes later, Ruben Amorim<\/a>‘s side completed the unlikely turnaround. Diallo latched onto Lisandro Martinez’s through ball and flicked the ball over the head of Ederson before rolling in the winner from an acute angle.<\/p>\n

Defeat sees City drop out of the top four down to fifth, one point behind Nottingham Forest, while they are nine points adrift of league leaders Liverpool<\/a>, who boast a game in hand on those around them.<\/p>\n

Pep Guardiola Post-Manchester Derby: “I’m Not Good Enough”<\/h2>\n

Speaking to the media in his post-match press conference at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday evening, Pep Guardiola<\/a> was full of emotion after his side fell to their eighth defeat in their last 11 matches across all competitions.<\/p>\n

“I don’t have a defence,” he admitted. “I’m the manager, I have to find a solution and I don’t find a solution.<\/p>\n

“This a big club and at a big club when you lose eight, something wrong has happened.<\/p>\n

“I can say the schedule is tough, the injured players, but, 3-0 against Feyenoord after 75 minutes and we draw. Is that the schedule, the injuries? No. We have to win that game.<\/p>\n

“Today we have to win because apart from Bruno Fernandes [his late chance] nothing happened. So we give it away again.<\/p>\n

“What do we have to do? Keep working. But I’m the boss, I’m the manager and I’m not good enough. It’s as simple as that.<\/p>\n

“I have to find a way to talk to them, train them, the way they have.\u00a0to play, the way they have to press and build up and I’m not good enough. I’m not doing well. That\u2019s the truth.”<\/p>\n
