FPL Gameweek 19 Tips: Pingreen’s Top Picks<\/h2>\n

Hello FPL<\/a> fans! My name is Pingreen, and I\u2019m back to share my top FPL tips for Gameweek 19 and beyond, right here on SportsCasting<\/em>.<\/p>\n

I finished 700th in the world in 2022\/23 and ranked 1,330th last season, so make sure you take my advice seriously. As usual, I will be bringing you my captain pick for Gameweek 19 along with a defender, midfielder, and forward pick.<\/p>\n

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Apart from Bruno Fernandes<\/a>, I hope he got coal in his stocking.<\/p>\n

Captain Pick – Mohamed Salah – \u00a313.5m – WHU (A)<\/h3>\n

With Mohamed Salah<\/a> already taking steps to break the infamous Christmas photo curse with his goal against Leicester City, he will once again be getting the captain\u2019s armband for my side.<\/p>\n

The Egyptian has been on fire this season. 1.04 xGI per 90, highest in the league. 16 goals, highest in the league. 11 assists, guess what? Highest in the league.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, he faces a West Ham side who, although they looked to have somewhat steadied the ship, still have some worrying defensive numbers. Only Leicester, Ipswich, and Southampton have given up more xG per 90 than the Hammers this year.<\/p>\n

Defender – Daniel Mu\u00f1oz – \u00a34.7m – SOU (H)<\/h3>\n

Daniel Mu\u00f1oz came into the Premier League with a reputation for being a fullback that offers an incredible amount of attacking threat. However, early in the season, he disappointed, as did the entire Crystal Palace team.<\/p>\n

In December, both Palace and Mu\u00f1oz have finally started to show some signs of life. The Colombian has scored 2 goals for the Eagles this month, desperate to get on both Santa\u2019s and FPL managers\u2019 good lists for the holidays.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s also averaging 0.29 xGI per 90, which is more than respectable for a defender. For comparison, it\u2019s more than both Gvardiol and Pedro Porro. This week he faces a Southampton side who sit bottom of the table, and it wouldn\u2019t be one of my weekly articles if I didn\u2019t pick a player facing the Saints.<\/p>\n

Midfielder – Son Heung-Min – \u00a39.8m – WOL (H)<\/h3>\n

If last week you were looking for a Saka replacement and opted for Bruno Fernandes – I\u2019m sorry. However, if you\u2019re still looking for a Saka replacement, or a Fernandes replacement, I wouldn\u2019t overlook Tottenham\u2019s Son Heung-Min<\/a>.<\/p>\n

On the surface, only 5 goals so far this campaign is slightly underwhelming. However, the 0.74 xGI per 90 he\u2019s averaging is anything but. Son has historically overperformed his underlying numbers, but this season he seems to be doing the opposite.<\/p>\n

This weekend could be the perfect time for the South Korean to get right, facing a Wolves side who give up a lot of big chances. Their 37 goals conceded this season is the second worst in the entire league; only Southampton<\/a> have conceded more.<\/p>\n

Striker – Alexander Isak – \u00a39.1m – MUN (A)<\/h3>\n

When Alexander Isak<\/a> picked up an injury 21 minutes into Newcastle\u2019s clash with Crystal Palace in Gameweek 13, many managers were quick to move on from the Swede. I\u2019d imagine said managers will be kicking themselves now.<\/p>\n

Isak didn\u2019t miss any further matches and has scored 55 fantasy points in his last 5 Premier League games. He\u2019s averaging 0.87 xGI per 90 this campaign \u2013 that\u2019s first amongst strikers and only trails Mohamed Salah<\/a> in the entire league.<\/p>\n

On Monday night, he faces Manchester United<\/a>. New manager Ruben Amorim<\/a> looks to have realised just what a tough job he has on his hands, with the Red Devils conceding 9 goals in their last 3 games across all competitions.
