Manchester United vs Newcastle Preview<\/h2>\n

Life for Manchester United has been tough since Ruben Amorim took over from Erik ten Hag in November, with just two wins in the Premier League over the last two months.<\/p>\n

Since shocking Manchester City in the derby<\/a>, United have lost back to back league games against Bournemouth and Wolves which has left the Red Devils 14th in the league.<\/p>\n

United have rather limped through the Christmas period and they will be desperate for a much needed three points against Newcastle heading into the new year.<\/p>\n

The Magpies on the other hand have been flying lately especially in attack, having scored 11 goals in their last three Premier League games.<\/p>\n

Alexander Isak’s form has played a huge part in Newcastle’s success lately and the striker has seven goals in his last five appearances including a hattrick against Ipswich<\/a> before Christmas.<\/p>\n

With a win against United the Magpies would leapfrog Manchester City and Bournemouth in the table up to fifth behind Chelsea.<\/p>\n

Manchester United vs Newcastle Team News<\/h2>\n

Bruno Fernandes<\/a>\u00a0picked up a suspension after being shown two yellow cards against Wolves on Boxing Day and so the United captain will be unavailable on Monday.<\/p>\n

Marcus Rashford<\/a> continues to dominate headlines in Manchester after his admission over desiring a fresh challenge but the forward has returned to the bench for Red Devils.<\/p>\n

Although Sven Botman is closing in on his return for Newcastle, the defender isn’t quite ready to feature.<\/p>\n

Tino Livramento was unavailable for Newcastle during their Boxing Day contest against Aston Villa and is not quite ready to start after returning from illness.<\/p>\n
