With the January transfer window now wide open, a staggering 82 Premier League players can officially start talking to overseas clubs.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

That is the number of stars whose contracts officially expire on June 30, 2025. Owing to the world famous Bosman ruling, players can sign pre-contract agreements to determine their future before the end of the campaign.<\/p>\n

Unsurprisingly, Liverpool supporters will be the most worried at this stage. Mo Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold are now in the last six months of their current deals.<\/p>\n

Owing to the rules, it’s only foreign teams who can start to enter into negotiations. Premier League<\/a> clubs will have to wait until a player is in the last month of his contract.<\/p>\n

Therefore, long-term admirers of Alexander-Arnold – Real Madrid – can start talking to the 26-year-old as of today. However, Arne Slots side rebuffed an official approach<\/a> on December 31.<\/p>\n

January Transfer Window – Who Can Talk To Foreign Clubs?<\/h2>\n

Mo Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold are perhaps the most famous Premier League stars who are now allowed to talk to teams from overseas.<\/p>\n

It’s likely that the futures of the star trio will take time to resolve. The general feeling around Anfield is that the Egyptian and Dutch internationals are more likely to pen new deals.<\/p>\n

A series of questions still linger over Alexander-Arnold’s long-term future on Merseyside. It’s no secret that friend and England teammate Jude Bellingham<\/a> would love the 26-year-old to join him at the Bernabeu.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Manchester City<\/a> legend Kevin De Bruyne is potentially up for grabs. The Belgium international has been previously touted with a move to Saudi Arabia. However, he may still sign a new deal at the Etihad.<\/p>\n

Ilkay Gundogan is another City star who could leave the faltering champions. The German returned to the club after a brief stint at Barcelona but could be on his way out once more.<\/p>\n

Neighbours Manchester United<\/a> have six stars who could be on their way out. Amad Diallo is almost certain to stay but Harry Maguire, Christian Eriksen, Victor Lindelof, Jonny Evans and Tom Heaton could all go.<\/p>\n

Spurs have plenty to ponder with star man and club-captain Son Heung-min up for grabs. The South Korean has served the Lillywhites for ten years.<\/p>\n
