Michael van Gerwen beat Callan Rydz 5-3 in a pulsating quarter-final clash at the PDC World Darts Championship on New Year’s Day.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Van Gerwen was in fine form and produced arguably his finest performance of the tournament so far. The Dutchman will now meet Chris Dobey for a place in the final.<\/p>\n

Dobey is through to his first ever World Darts Championship semi-final<\/a> after the Brit beat 2021 champion Gerwyn Price 5-3 earlier in the day.<\/p>\n

Three-time winner Van Gerwen is through to his ninth semi. The pair will go toe-to-toe on Thursday night in what will be a blockbuster affair.<\/p>\n

In the evening session, Peter Wright faces Stephen Bunting whereas last year’s runner-up Luke Littler takes on Nathan Aspinall. ‘The Nuke’ is the current 19\/20 tournament favourite with the best betting sites<\/a> in the UK.<\/p>\n
