Everton are once again locked in a battle to avoid relegation from the Premier League with just one point separating them and the drop zone.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Toffees have flirted with the relegation zone ever since the 2021-2022 season. Everton survived by four points that season and two points a year later.<\/p>\n

Despite an improved finish in 2024, this year looks to be a tough one for the Toffees who have failed to win 16 out of their 19 Premier League games so far.<\/p>\n

Questions have been asked about manager Sean Dyche<\/a>, with just one win in their last 11 games in the English top-flight.<\/p>\n

Graham Potter is viewed as the most likely to succeed Dyche<\/a> according to the best football betting sites in the UK.<\/a><\/p>\n

Regardless of who is the manager, if current results continue, relegation could be a real possibility for the Toffees.<\/p>\n

When Everton Last Suffered Relegation<\/h2>\n

Everton<\/a> are part of an elite group of clubs that have not suffered relegation in the Premier League era. However, they have been relegated from the English top-flight before.<\/p>\n

The last time Everton were relegated was in the 1950-51 campaign and they have been in the top-flight since 1954-55.<\/p>\n

Everton finished bottom of the old First Division after picking up just 12 wins across the 42-game season. They went down with Sheffield Wednesday in a season where Tottenham were crowned champions.<\/p>\n

The Toffees have never been relegated in the Premier League era.<\/p>\n

They have come close to the drop in a number of seasons since the inception of the Premier League however.<\/p>\n

In 1993-94 Everton came from 2-0 down to beat Wimbledon 3-2 to instead send Sheffield United out of the Premier League. In 1997-98 they only survived due to their superior goal difference ahead of Bolton.<\/p>\n

Then in 2022-23, a 1-0 victory over Bournemouth kept their place in the Premier League.<\/p>\n
