Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn Talks Reach ‘Crunch Time’<\/h2>\n

Negotiations for the Chris Eubank Jr<\/a> vs Conor Benn<\/a> super-fight have reached a crucial stage, with this week being labelled ‘crunch time’ by Eubank’s promoter Ben Shalom.<\/p>\n

The British boxing<\/a> promoter is hopeful that the all-British blockbuster clash can be signed and sealed this week, with the Eubank Jr vs Benn mega-fight finally given the green light once and for all.<\/p>\n

The fight was days away from happening in October 2022 of course, before Benn failed two performance enhancing drugs tests. Now that the National Anti-Doping Panel have lifted Benn’s provisional suspension, it seems the fight could be on once again.<\/p>\n

After Chris Eubank Jr<\/a>‘s latest win in October of Kamil Szeremeta on one of His Excellency Turki Alalshikh<\/a>‘s Riyadh Season cards, Conor Benn<\/a> and ‘Next Gen’ went head-to-head in the ring. This sent boxing fans into a frenzy, with it fairly obvious the fight was on for early 2025.<\/p>\n

However, as of yet there is still to be any further announcement. That being said, Chris Eubank Jr<\/a>‘s promoter Ben Shalom has revealed he is optimistic that the fight can get signed and sealed by the end of the week.<\/p>\n

A date and venue is yet to be confirmed as well, but it is likely the all-British fight could head to Saudi Arabia. That is unless it happens in the summer in the UK, meaning it could take place at somewhere like Wembley Stadium.<\/p>\n

Ben Shalom: ‘If A Deal Is Going To be Made, It’s Going To Be Made This Week’<\/h3>\n

In an exclusive interview with Sky Sports, Ben Shalom revealed that talks for the Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn<\/a> clash are ongoing.<\/p>\n

Although nothing is confirmed as of yet, Shalom is hopeful that a deal can be reached by the end of the week, with the fight officially signed and sealed once and for all. Talks have been dragged on for a long time, but this is because of the sheer scale of the contest, according to the Boxxer man.<\/p>\n

“If a deal is going to be made, it’s going to be made this week. We want to make the fight; they want to make the fight, but now it’s crunch time.<\/em><\/p>\n

“It can be hard with a fight of this magnitude, particularly when there is so much bad blood. It’s not like the first time, there’s a genuine rivalry now.<\/em><\/p>\n

“It’s one of the biggest fights out there for British boxing alongside Fury vs Joshua<\/a>. I believe it sells out any stadium in the country,”<\/em> Shalom told Sky Sports<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Time will tell whether or not the Eubank Jr vs Benn fight will be signed and sealed this week. It would be a travesty for boxing<\/a> fans if it doesn’t go ahead, but would undoubtedly be one of the biggest fights of 2025 if it were to be announced.<\/p>\n
