Manchester United have reportedly entered the race to sign Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo – joining Arsenal in pursuit of the striker.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Both clubs are keen to sign the 25-year-old forward, but Brentford<\/a> have made it clear he’s going nowhere in January.<\/p>\n

If he does leave the Bees, it will be in the summer. But with multiple top clubs chasing him, it’s clear the Cameroon international is in demand.<\/p>\n

Mbeumo has 13 goals in 20 Premier League<\/a> games this season, already four more than his previous season’s best.<\/p>\n

His goals have been crucial for Thomas Frank’s side, who lost former star striker Ivan Toney to the Saudi Pro League<\/a> last summer.<\/p>\n

Arsenal<\/a> were reported to be keen on bringing Mbeumo to the Emirates, but it appears Manchester United<\/a> have joined them in chasing his signature.<\/p>\n

Manchester United Keen On Bryan Mbeumo<\/h2>\n

New United boss Ruben Amorim is thought to be a big fan of Mbeumo’s work-ethic and versatility.<\/p>\n

The striker joined Brentford from French club Troyes in 2019, and was a club-record signing at the time.<\/p>\n

His arrival at Old Trafford would depend on outgoings, with United keen to offload a number of surplus stars.<\/p>\n

Newcastle<\/a> are also believed to be monitoring Mbeumo’s situation, with Eddie Howe a big admirer.<\/p>\n

Thomas Frank Says ‘Good Luck’ Signing Mbeumo In January<\/h2>\n

Brentford boss Thomas Frank was bullish in his response to suggestions Mbeumo could leave before the summer.<\/p>\n

He said: “In January? I would say good luck. We love Bryan. He loves playing here. He has had a fantastic season, so nothing will happen.”<\/p>\n

According to Transfermarkt<\/em>, Mbeumo’s current market value is more than \u00a340m.<\/p>\n

And any fee for the forward will only have risen after his recent performances.<\/p>\n

A New Year’s Day goal against Arsenal reminded everyone just how lethal a finisher Mbeumo is.<\/p>\n

Only Erling Haaland and Mo Salah have scored more goals in the Premier League this campaign.<\/p>\n

The 25-year-old’s contract runs until June 2026, meaning Brentford are under no obligation to cash in this window.<\/p>\n

However, Mbeumo has previously indicated he wishes to one day play on the biggest stage.<\/p>\n

In May 2024, he told L’Equipe<\/em>:\u00a0“I have spent five years at Brentford, at a club that has allowed me to grow and pass a milestone but yes, I would like to play in the biggest competitions, at the best clubs.<\/p>\n
