The Gunners looked to be heading towards victory as they received a dubious penalty for Harry Maguires challenge on Kai Havertz – but Martin Odegaard’s spot kick was saved by Altay Bayindir.<\/p>\n

Arsenal heaped huge amounts of pressure on the United defence but could not break through a barrier of Maguire and De Ligt.<\/p>\n

The two sides could not be split after 90 minutes and the match went into extra-time, with Arsenal creating more chances but failing to convert.<\/p>\n

After a 30 minute onslaught, the match had to be decided by penalties as Bayindir stepped up to save Kai Havertz’s spot-kick and help United progress into the FA Cup fourth round<\/a>.<\/p>\n
