Liverpool made up for their 1-0 loss at Tottenham in the EFL Cup semi-final first-leg with a <\/span>4-0 thumping of Accrington<\/span><\/a> in the FA Cup on Saturday.<\/span><\/p>\n

Trent Alexander-Arnold’s long-range rocket was the pick of the goals, as Diogo Jota, Federico Chiesa,<\/span>\u00a0and Jayden Danns also scored.<\/span><\/p>\n

Despite looking leggy and off the pace in their 2-2 draw with <\/span>Manchester United<\/span><\/a> last time out, Liverpool remain six points clear at the top of the league.<\/span><\/p>\n

And with manager <\/span>Arne Slot<\/span><\/a> able to rotate heavily at the weekend, the Reds should be refreshed for their return to league action.<\/span><\/p>\n

They face a <\/span>Nottingham Forest<\/span><\/a> side who inflicted their only Premier League defeat of the season so far back in September.<\/span><\/p>\n

Forest\u2019s 1-0 win at Anfield shocked almost everyone, but they have since backed it up with win after win.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nuno Espirito Santo\u2019s men have won their last seven in a row and sit a lofty third in the table.<\/span><\/p>\n

Level with second-placed <\/span>Arsenal<\/span><\/a>, a win for Forest could see them move up to second and close the gap to just three points.<\/span><\/p>\n

Forest beat Luton 2-0 in their FA Cup third round tie, and will travel to Exeter City in round four.<\/span><\/p>\n

Liverpool are also making the long trip down to Devon, and will visit Plymouth Argyle – who stunned <\/span>Brentford <\/span><\/a>on Saturday.<\/span><\/p>\n

Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez will miss Tuesday\u2019s game with a suspension.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Uruguayan picked up a fifth yellow card against Manchester United and must watch on from the sidelines.<\/span><\/p>\n

He joins Joe Gomez as Liverpool\u2019s only unavailable players.<\/span><\/p>\n

Defender Gomez is out with a hamstring problem, while Jarell Quansah and Dominik Szoboszlai both shook off illness to play against Accrington.<\/span><\/p>\n

But both are likely to drop out of the starting XI as Arne Slot rotated his first-choice squad back in for a huge fixture.<\/span><\/p>\n

Forest also boast an almost empty treatment room after Danilo made his comeback from a long-term ankle injury.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ibrahim Sangare (hamstring) is the only man keeping the Forest physios busy at present, allowing Santo to rest his key players against Luton.<\/span><\/p>\n
