Former Premier League striker Clinton Morrison claims that Liverpool should be looking at signing Milos Kerkez or Antonee Robinson to push Andy Robertson for a starting position.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Premier League leaders Liverpool<\/a> have been urged to sign either Milos Kerkez or Antonee Robinson to provide competition for, and possibly replace, Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas in the left-back position.<\/p>\n

Both players have shone for their respective clubs this term, with Kerkez registering one goal and three assists for Bournemouth<\/a>, while Robinson has a total of nine assists for Fulham, a league-high in terms of defenders.<\/p>\n

According to numerous reports, the Reds are tracking the progress of the pair, however Kerkez, aged 21, is said to be the preferred option due to him being six years younger than his American counterpart at Craven Cottage.<\/p>\n

Liverpool ‘Should Be Looking At Kerkez and Robinson’<\/h2>\n

Speaking on the\u00a0Football Daily<\/em> podcast, former Tottenham<\/a>, Crystal Palace and Republic of Ireland striker Clinton Morrison said that Liverpool should be looking at signing one of the two left-backs.<\/p>\n

“I like Andy Robertson but he had a difficult night dealing with Anthony Elanga [vs. Nottingham Forest] and all of his set-pieces weren’t good enough. Kostas Tsimikas came on and straight away delivered.<\/em><\/p>\n

“Do I think Tsimikas is really going to be the one pushing Robertson for starts? Probably not for a team like Liverpool that are going for the Champions League and Premier League.<\/em><\/p>\n

“Bournemouth have a left-back in Milos Kerkez who I think is outstanding and Robinson at Fulham – I think he is outstanding. If Liverpool are going to bring in a new left-back, those are the two I would be looking at.”<\/em><\/p>\n
