Arsenal Vs Dinamo Zagreb Preview<\/h2>\n

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal<\/a> are unbeaten in the Champions League since 2017, when they lost heavily to Bayern Munich.<\/p>\n

The Emirates has been a fortress in European competitions for the Gunners, who have only conceded at home in one Champions League game under Arteta.<\/p>\n

With 13 points from a maximum of 18, Arsenal have been in fine form this season.<\/p>\n

After six games, they are third in the standings, behind only Liverpool<\/a> and Barcelona. A win on Wednesday would guarantee them a playoff spot at minimum.<\/p>\n

Things are less pleasing on the domestic front, though. With only one win in their last five in the league and both cup competitions, Arsenal have been struggling with recent injuries.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Dinamo Zagreb, meanwhile, have won two, drawn two and lost two games in this year’s Champions League.<\/p>\n

Unlike Arsenal, it’s not their home form that’s helped them, with both wins coming on the road.<\/p>\n

The Croatian side suffered a 9-2 hammering at Bayern Munich, but are still occupying the last playoff spot as it stands.<\/p>\n

But having not yet returned from their domestic Christmas break, Zagreb are short on match fitness and could show some rustiness on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Zagreb were winless in seven at the end of 2024 before beating Varazdin 3-2 in their final match of the year.<\/p>\n

They have never beaten Arsenal at the Emirates, losing on both previous occasions.<\/p>\n

Arsenal Vs Dinamo Zagreb Team News<\/b><\/h2>\n

The treatment room at Arsenal is close to overflowing at present.<\/p>\n

As it stands, they will be without all of William Saliba (hamstring), Ben White (knee), Takehiro Tomiyasu (knee), Bukayo Saka (hamstring), Gabriel Jesus (knee) and Ethan Nwaneri (muscle).<\/p>\n

Riccardo Calafiori is also a doubt, with Arteta forced into a makeshift back-line against Aston Villa<\/a> at the weekend.<\/p>\n

Dinamo Zagreb look to be missing key forward Bruno Petkovic, who has been struggling with a hip adductor issue.<\/p>\n

Also out if midfielder Petar Sucic, but otherwise the Croatian side boast a fully-fit squad.<\/p>\n

With the form-book and historic records favouring Arsenal, it would be foolish to bet against them.<\/p>\n

The Gunners could take a huge step towards booking their place in the last 16 by beating Zagreb this week.<\/p>\n
