AZ from FPL Blackbox returns ahead with his FPL tips for gameweek 23 as the respected pundit looks at the best TEAMS to target – especially with a ‘double gameweek’ on the horizon in GW24.
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

No doubt you\u2019ll be looking at your players and either thinking \u201cis it time to move some of you on?\u201d<\/em>, or looking at other FPL<\/a> managers teams thinking \u201cdamn, I wish I owned some of their players\u2026\u201d.<\/p>\n

With the Double Gameweek coming up in Gameweek 24 (next week), alongside the first opportunity for us to use the new Assistant Manager chip, let\u2019s have a look at some of the teams best placed to target over the next month or so.<\/p>\n

FPL Tips For Gameweek 23 and 24: The Best Teams To Target<\/h2>\n

Liverpool
\n<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

It doesn\u2019t take a genius to work out we need to load up on Liverpool assets. Top of the league, one loss all season, the team with the most clean sheets, the team with the most goals. They also play strugglers Ipswich, Everton and Wolves in the next three Gameweeks \u2013 alongside a \u2018bonus\u2019 game vs. high flyers Bournemouth.<\/p>\n

Salah is non-negotiable and will surely be lined up for the Triple Captain in the Double Gameweek by anyone who still has the chip.<\/p>\n

For those of us who have used it, we may also be considering the Assistant Manager chip on Slot in the same week \u2013 although it might be worth planning an exit route for him in Gameweek 26, unless you think Liverpool will put City to the sword.<\/p>\n

In defence, Alisson (\u00a35.5m) and Konate (\u00a35.1m) are solid picks to partner Salah and Alexander-Arnold (\u00a37.2m) if you are backing clean sheets. If you\u2019re feeling a bit more adventurous, why not give Gakpo (\u00a37.5m) a go.<\/p>\n

I mentioned him last week in my article for Sportscasting, and while he hasn\u2019t scored in the last couple of weeks, a rest in the Champions League means his likelihood of getting minutes in increased.<\/p>\n

An injury to Jota and quiet performances from Luis Diaz (\u00a37.5m) boost his appeal.<\/p>\n

Regardless Liverpool look a solid option for your FPL tips for gameweek 23.<\/p>\n

Crystal Palace<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

In the clamour for Double Gameweek players, let\u2019s not overlook Crystal Palace who now have only one loss in their last 11 games and have scored 4 goals without reply in their last couple of games.<\/p>\n

Only Gvardiol (6.0m) has more shots inside the box and touches inside the penalty area than Munoz (\u00a34.8m) this season, who has been taking up some great positions and is surely due a goal soon. Guehi (\u00a34.5m) is a slightly cheaper option but my advice is to find the \u00a33m more for the Colombian if you can.<\/p>\n

In midfield, Sarr (\u00a35.8m) has been a bit disappointing lately while Eze (\u00a36.7m) has started to find some form, with 4 attacking returns in his last 4 games. Mateta (\u00a37.3m) is however the one to seriously consider.<\/p>\n

We believe he is taking penalties and has 4 goals in his last 4 games. His ownership of just 5.5% is staggeringly low, meaning he could be a great differential for you going forwards.<\/p>\n

Palace have a brilliant set of fixtures to come, with Brentford, Manchester United, Everton all displaying porous defences and being the next 3 teams that the Eagles face.<\/p>\n

Everton<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The other team with a Double Gameweek in 24, the Toffees finally got back to winning ways with a good performance against Spurs last week.<\/p>\n

Either side of two games in Leicester and Liverpool, Everton play Brighton and Palace and will hope to get something from those games.<\/p>\n

Pickford (\u00a35.0m) could be a shrewd acquisition for those getting fed up with the likes of Raya or Flekken but don\u2019t rule out James Tarkowski (\u00a34.8m) who is a real threat from set pieces.<\/p>\n

Attacking options are few and far between but Calvert-Lewin (\u00a35.4m) put in a strong performance last week and was unlucky not to claim an assist to go alongside his smartly taken goal.<\/p>\n

Since Moyes took over 2 Gameweeks ago, no player has had more shots than big Dom (9).<\/p>\n

He\u2019s easily affordable too and could be perfect if you still have an injured player like Jesus or Solanke – or want to move off the likes of Joao Pedro (\u00a35.6m) or Raul Jimenez (\u00a35.7m).<\/p>\n
