FPL Pingreen is back with his latest round of FPL gameweek 24 tips. This week, he is looking at Everton and Liverpool stars ahead of the rearranged Merseyside derby.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hello FPL fans! My name is Pingreen (@FPLPingreen<\/a>), and I\u2019m back to share my top picks for Gameweek 24 and beyond, right here on SportsCasting<\/em><\/a>. I finished 700th in the world in 2022\/23 and ranked 1,330th last season, so make sure you take my advice seriously.<\/p>\n

The first Double Gameweek of the season is here. It\u2019s just a shame one of the two teams involved is Everton.<\/p>\n

FPL Gameweek 24 Tips<\/h2>\n

Captain Pick<\/h2>\n

Mohamed Salah \u2013 \u00a313.7m \u2013 BOU (A) EVE (A)<\/h3>\n

I\u2019m not captaining Mohamed Salah this Gameweek. I\u2019m triple captaining him. This is the most obvious captain pick I\u2019ve ever been asked to write.<\/p>\n

Salah is the best player in the Premier League<\/a> right now. He\u2019s scored the most goals, provided the most assists, and has the highest xGI per 90.<\/p>\n

There is no argument in my mind. This week, he has two games \u2013 one of which is against Everton. I think you\u2019d be insane not to stick the armband on him. And the only question you should have is whether you activate the triple captain chip (if you still have it).<\/p>\n

The Bournemouth half of the double is far from ideal. But I still think the chip is worth using as there is no guarantee the best player in the Premier League has another double Gameweek this season.<\/p>\n

Defender<\/h2>\n

Trent Alexander-Arnold \u2013 \u00a37.3 \u2013 BOU (A) EVE (A)<\/h3>\n

My defender pick this week is almost as easy as my captain pick. If you don\u2019t already have Trent Alexander-Arnold in your side ahead of Gameweek 24 \u2013 getting him in should be an absolute priority.<\/p>\n

The right back is averaging an insane 0.40 xGI per 90 this season. To put that into perspective it\u2019s more than Justin Kluivert and Chris Wood who have been scoring goals for fun at the top end of the pitch all season long.<\/p>\n

For a right-back to be putting up similar underlying numbers is almost unheard of \u2013 other than Trent doing it himself in previous seasons.<\/p>\n

He should probably be in your team due to those incredible numbers anyway, but he absolutely needs to be for this double Gameweek.<\/p>\n

One of his opponents in the double, Everton, have only scored 16 goals all season. That\u2019s the second lowest in the league, only behind Southampton.<\/p>\n

Liverpool have conceded the least number of goals in the league. A great combination for a clean sheet before you even get to the second fixture and attacking return potential.<\/p>\n
