Pep Guardiola has revealed when he expects Rodri to return in the latest injury update on the Manchester City star.<\/strong><\/p>\n

What Is The Latest Rodri Injury Update?<\/h2>\n

Rodri has not played football<\/a> since injuring his ACL in the 2-2 draw with Arsenal back in September.<\/p>\n

It saw the Ballon d’Or winner ruled out for the remainder of this season. However, later reports claimed Rodri could make a return earlier than expected<\/a> with the midfielder after he ‘impressed medics with his range of motion\u2019 while running on the treadmill.<\/p>\n

But City boss Guardiola has been keen temper expectations, but didn’t rule out the possibility of an early return entirely.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the press, Guardiola said: \u201cI’d love to arrive in the last stages of the\u00a0Champions League\u00a0and he could help, but I will not put one second of pressure on him. In my mind, next season is when Rodri will return.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn my mind he\u2019s not here. But maybe he comes back earlier and that would be good.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rodri Seen On The Football Field At The Super Bowl<\/h2>\n

City fans were able to see Rodri back in a football ground on Sunday \u2013 but it was the American Football stadium where the Spaniard appeared as a guest on Sky Sports’ coverage of the Super Bowl in New Orleans.<\/p>\n

Rodri spoke about his progress on recovery from injury and the opportunities it has presented with him given he’s not able to play football currently.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m a very positive guy, in the sense of: I take it for what it is,\u201d Rodri told\u00a0Sky Sports<\/a>\u00a0inside Caesars Superdome. \u201c[You can] do a lot of stuff you\u2019re not used to doing. Come here, spend more time with your family and, why not? Try to improve other parts of your body, work on that, and come back stronger.\u201d<\/p>\n
