Hello FPL fans! My name is Pingreen, and I\u2019m back to share my top tips for Gameweek 25 and beyond, right here on SportsCasting<\/a>.<\/div>\n
\n

I finished 700th in the world in 2022\/23 and ranked 1,330th last season, so make sure you take my advice seriously.<\/p>\n

Double Gameweeks are like buses; you wait all season for one, and then two come along at once – so let’s look into the best ways to make the most of them.<\/p>\n

Pingreen FPL Gameweek 25 Tips<\/h2>\n

Captain Pick \u2013 Mohamed Salah \u2013 \u00a313.4m \u2013 WOL (H), AVL (A)<\/strong>I must come clean. Last week, I said I was using my Triple Captain on Mohamed Salah. However, I wrote that before the Double Gameweek was announced, which led me to pivot into using the Assistant Manager chip on Arne Slot<\/a> instead.<\/p>\n

That may have been a mistake, as Triple Captainers came away with a monstrous 87 points. If, for whatever reason, you still have your Triple Captain intact and available this week, you surely must use it on the Egyptian King.<\/p>\n

He seems inevitable at the moment; even in a somewhat quiet game by his standards against Everton, he still managed to pop up with a goal and assist.<\/p>\n

On paper, this Double Gameweek is arguably even more appealing than last week\u2019s. A home fixture against Wolves is almost as good as they come, with Pereira\u2019s side having conceded the 4th highest number of goals in the division.<\/p>\n

The away fixture to Villa is the tougher of the two, but even they sit 7th in the league for goals conceded.<\/p>\n

Defender \u2013 Virgil van Dijk \u2013 \u00a36.4m \u2013 WOL (H), AVL (A)<\/strong>With some fitness concerns still looming over Trent Alexander-Arnold after he was rushed back against Everton, Virgil van Dijk is your man if you have a defensive transfer to make this week.<\/p>\n

You\u2019d be crazy not to want Liverpool defenders in your team for this Double Gameweek. Statistically, they slightly trail Arsenal as the best defensive unit in the league this season, with just one more goal conceded and 0.91 xGC per 90 vs the Gunners\u2019 0.88.<\/p>\n

While Van Dijk might not have the attacking threat of Trent Alexander-Arnold, he\u2019s no stranger to a header from a corner either.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s only scored one goal in the Premier League campaign thus far, but Tottenham learned in their League Cup Semi-Final clash what a threat the Dutch giant can be from a set piece.<\/p>\n

Midfielder \u2013 Morgan Rogers \u2013 \u00a35.6m \u2013 IPS (H), LIV (H)<\/strong>With a home fixture against Ipswich<\/a> included in their Double Gameweek, an Aston Villa attacker is almost essential and the best value option amongst those attackers is Morgan Rogers, coming in at just \u00a35.6m.<\/p>\n

Rogers has left owners frustrated at times. He\u2019s only registered one attacking return in his last 5 Premier League fixtures, which have included great matchups against Wolves, West Ham, Everton, and Leicester.<\/p>\n

To add to that frustration, in the same time frame, he\u2019s scored 5 goals in other competitions. As supported by his goal-scoring prowess in the Domestic Cups and Champions League<\/a>, I still think he\u2019s a great pick going forward.<\/p>\n

His 0.39 xGI per 90 is nothing to scoff at, and even with recent frustrations for owners, he has 10 goal contributions this Premier League campaign \u2013 and when better to add to that tally than a Double Gameweek.<\/p>\n

Forward \u2013 Ollie Watkins – \u00a38.9 \u2013 IPS (H) LIV (H)<\/strong>I need to start this one with a disclaimer. There are some fitness concerns over Watkins after he was forced off at half-time in Aston Villa\u2019s<\/a> last Premier League outing against Wolves.<\/p>\n

Signs point towards him being back for the double, but if you\u2019re going to bring him in, try and leave it as late as possible. If he is fit, Watkins is comfortably the best striker to have in your side this Gameweek.<\/p>\n

As mentioned with Rogers, a Double Gameweek that includes a home fixture against Ipswich Town is appealing for any striker, let alone one as good as Ollie Watkins.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s averaging 0.68 xGI per 90 this campaign, which is better than the likes of Bukayo Saka, Dominic Solanke, and Cody Gakpo.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s backed up those underlying numbers with 15 goal contributions, providing plenty of points for FPL managers who have backed him.<\/p>\n

Other than the fitness concerns, the only other downside with Watkins is that he may be off penalty duty after another woeful spot kick against Celtic<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
