Chelsea director Jonathan Goldstein has firmly dismissed rumours of Enzo Maresca facing the sack, insisting the manager will remain in charge despite the club\u2019s recent struggles. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Speaking in an interview with Bloomberg TV<\/em>, Goldstein reaffirmed that Maresca is doing a “great job” and is “100 per cent” secure for the remainder of the season.<\/p>\n

Chelsea\u2019s Recent Struggles Under Maresca<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Blues have endured a struggling period since the turn of the year, winning just three of their last 11 games across all competitions.<\/p>\n

The poor run of form has seen Chelsea<\/a> slip to sixth place in the Premier League, falling 18 points behind league leaders Liverpool<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A humbling 3-0 defeat against Brighton last weekend further compounded their woes, but the upcoming clash against Aston Villa presents an opportunity for Maresca\u2019s men to climb back into the top four.<\/p>\n

Chelsea Board Confirm Support for Maresca<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Despite mounting pressure, Chelsea\u2019s hierarchy remains fully supportive of Maresca.<\/p>\n

Goldstein\u2019s comments align with reports from The Athletic<\/em>, which suggest that club owner Todd Boehly<\/a> is still “happy” with the team\u2019s progress.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s doing a great job,\u201d Goldstein said while appearing on Bloomberg TV. \u201cChelsea started the season very well. The last six weeks have been about finding their feet a little bit more.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut Enzo has clearly done a great job in bringing the team together and developing the talent. We\u2019re very optimistic for the rest of the season.\u201d<\/p>\n

When asked if Maresca will still be in charge next season, Goldstein confidently responded: \u201c100 per cent.\u201d<\/p>\n

Maresca\u2019s Long-Term Contract and Chelsea\u2019s Project<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Maresca signed a five-year contract with Chelsea last summer, with an option for an additional year, tying him to the club until 2029.<\/p>\n
