Manchester United vs Ipswich Preview<\/h2>\n

Ruben Amorim’s spell as Manchester United has not gotten off to the greatest of starts and things were close to getting even worse in their latest league fixture.<\/p>\n

After going 2-0 down in the opening half against Everton, United needed two late goals from Bruno Fernandes and Manuel Ugarte to earn a point in Merseyside.<\/a><\/p>\n

The Red Devils sit 15th in the Premier League, just 13 points clear of the relegation zone and defeat on Wednesday would cut that down to 10.<\/p>\n

Ipswich were handed a crushing defeat in their latest fixture, losing 4-1 to Tottenham Hotspur at Portman Road and Kieran McKenna’s men are facing the huge possibility of relegation.<\/p>\n

Town’s last Premier League victory came in December 2024 after beating Chelsea 2-0 and this is their only home win in the league so far.<\/p>\n

These two sides have already met in the 2024\/25 campaign, playing out a 1-1 draw at Portman Road as Omari Hutchinson’s wonder strike cancelled out Marcus Rashford’s early opening goal.<\/p>\n

Manchester United vs Ipswich Team News<\/h2>\n

United were boosted with the return of Manuel Ugarte, Leny Yoro and Christian Eriksen against Everton, with the former starting and scoring an all-important equaliser at Goodison Park.<\/p>\n

Amorim could be able to call upon Toby Collyer as he nears a return to full fitness however the English trio of Luke Shaw, Mason Mount and Kobbie Mainoo are all unavailable.<\/p>\n

Amad Diallo and Lisandro Martinez are out for the remainder of the 2024\/25 season and United may need to utilise their academy prospects going forward.<\/p>\n

As for Ipswich, they were hit with two new injury concerns in the defeat to Tottenham Hotspur as Kalvin Phillips and Jens Cajuste were forced off through injury.<\/p>\n

The Tractor Boys will be without Wes Burns as he misses the rest of the season through injury but Sam Morsy, Sammie Szmodics and Conor Chaplin should all feature in the matchday squad.<\/p>\n

Axel Tuanzebe is eligible to face his former side after missing the last match through suspension and could start at Old Trafford on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
