Yoane Wissa had given the hosts a 1-0 lead the the break, before Irish fullback O’Brien restored parity 13 minutes from time.<\/p>\n

David Moyes’<\/a> men then held on to take a point back to Merseyside and extend their unbeaten run to seven Premier League<\/a> games.<\/p>\n

Brentford started quickly, with Bryan Mbeumo heading a long throw onto the bar, before Wissa nodded in the rebound to give his side the lead.<\/p>\n

The visitors had gone close twice through Beto, but the Guinea-Bissau international could not convert.<\/p>\n

He first wasted a one-on-one opportunity against Flekken in goal, before forcing a save minutes later.<\/p>\n

After the Break, Flekken was again on hand to stop Jack Harrison’s corner going directly in, before Carlos Alcaraz narrowly missed from the edge of the area.<\/p>\n

Wissa saw a second goal of the evening ruled out by the linesman’s flag, with Everton<\/a> eventually grabbing an equaliser.<\/p>\n

O’Brien got on the end of a low cross from Vitalii Mykolenko to finally beat Flekken in the closing stages.<\/p>\n

While a fairly even contest, the Brentford keeper deserves some plaudits for his work in denying Everton for as long as he did.<\/p>\n
