The chants could reportedly be heard coming from the Millwall section at Selhurst Park.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Currently at Selhurst Park. Told the FA will be investigating the &quot;Chelsea rent boy&quot; chants from Millwall fans which have been directed at Ben Chilwell here. However, the &quot;let him die&quot; chanting aimed at Jean-Philippe Mateta will not be probed as it does not breach regulations<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Kieran Gill (@kierangill_DM) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/kierangill_DM\/status\/1895840576605679958?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 1, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The chant is a breach 0f FA rules and disciplinary action could be taken against Millwall if their fans have been found to have sung the disgusting chants.<\/p>\n<p>The breach of FA rules now follows the decision of the Crown Prosecution Service classing the term &#8220;rent boy&#8221; \u2013 a British slang word for a male sex worker \u2013 as a hugely offensive chant and as a hate crime.<\/p>\n<h2>Millwall To Escape Punishment For Chants Aimed At Jean-Philippe Mateta<\/h2>\n<p>In the same game on Saturday, Millwall chants could be heard chanting &#8220;let him die&#8221; aimed at Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta as he laid strewn on the ground.<\/p>\n<p>Mateta received medical attention after being kicked in the head by Milwall&#8217;s goalkeeper in the eighth minute.<\/p>\n<p>Mateta had to be taken off on a stretcher after being attended to by pitchside medics. The Frenchman was later taken to hospital.<\/p>\n<p>As he received treatment, Millwall fans chanted at the medics to &#8220;let him die&#8221; in the very unsavoury scenes between the two south London clubs.<\/p>\n<p>However, the FA will not probed these chants as they do not breach FA regulations, the Mail reports.<\/p>\n<h2>Palace March On Into The FA Cup Quarter-Finals After Beating Millwall<\/h2>\n<p>Michael Oliver had a game-changing decision to make just eight minutes into the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportscasting.com\/uk\/news\/fa-cup-dates-2025-for-each-round\/\">FA Cup<\/a>\u00a0fifth round clash, with Millwall goalkeeper Liam Roberts clattering Jean-Philippe Mateta on the edge of his box in a horrific tackle.<\/p>\n<p>Roberts was clumsy with the challenge and his high boot clearly caught the Crystal Palace forward on top of his head leaving Mateta in agony on the floor.<\/p>\n<p>After a lengthy stoppage,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportscasting.com\/uk\/news\/jean-philippe-mateta-suffers-horror-head-injury-just-eight-minutes-into-fa-cup-tie-against-millwall\/\">Mateta was eventually taken off on a stretcher<\/a>\u00a0and straight into an ambulance much to the relief of Palace fans, with Roberts shown a straight red which couldn\u2019t be argued with.<\/p>\n<p>Ben Chilwell nearly netted his first goal for Palace with a stunning volley, but the Chelsea loanee was denied by the crossbar much to his frustration.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Crystal Palace v Millwall | Key Moments | Fifth Round | Emirates FA Cup 2024-25\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/OD2mlmqAYPg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The hosts did finally get a deserved second goal just before half time as Millwall failed to clear the ball leaving Daniel Munoz an easy finish from close range.<\/p>\n<p>Millwall were able to grab a goal back just before the break to keep them in the tie, with Wes Harding netting deep into stoppage time.<\/p>\n<p>Palace were able to finally secure a spot in the sixth round with a late finish from Nketiah putting the game to bed.
