Bournemouth and Wolves couldn’t be separated after 120 minutes at the Vitality Stadium, with the Cherries eventually advancing to the FA Cup quarter finals after penalties – watch Bournemouth vs Wolves FA Cup highlights here.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bournemouth scrape into FA Cup Quarter Finals<\/h2>\n

Wolves had the game’s first real chance after around 12 minutes, with Rayan A\u00eft-Nouri doing well to get inside the box from the left before cutting inside to test Kepa with a low shot.<\/p>\n

Despite some early Wolves chances, it was Bournemouth who took the lead on the half hour mark. Antoine Semenyo tested Sam Johnstone with a low shot and although he was able to to prevent a goal at first, Evanilson was quick to follow up for an easy finish into an open net.<\/p>\n

The goal for Evanilson came on his first start for the Cherries since the 4th of January with the Brazilian finally recovering from a broken foot.<\/p>\n

Bournemouth thought thy had a second just five minutes later, as Milos Kerkez smuggled a corner into the net at the back post but after one of the most lengthy VAR checks we have seen this season, the finish was ruled out for offside.<\/p>\n

The hosts had a second disallowed goal just before the break but this was a clearer decision and took seconds. Alex Scott finished off a Kerkez cross from point blank range but the ball bounced onto Scott’s hand before it went into the net and even he didn’t celebrate the finish.<\/p>\n

Wolves got back on top of things straight away in the second period and a moment of magic from their Brazilian superstar brought the visitors level. Matheus Cunha unleashed a rocket of a shot from well outside the box and Kepa had no chance in goal as the ball flew past him into the top corner.<\/p>\n

With the score level after 90 minutes despite the ball being in the Wolves net three times, the game headed into extra time.<\/p>\n

Nothing of note happened in the next 30 minutes right until the end of extra time, when for no reason Cunha lost his head and earned himself a red card.<\/p>\n

The Brazilian who has been so good for Wolves this season leant in with his head after a Kerkez foul and after head-butting his opponent he was dismissed straight away.<\/p>\n

It was Bournemouth who eventually had the last laugh though, as Boubacar Traor\u00e9 missed a decisive penalty in sudden death to send Bournemouth into the FA Cup<\/a> quarter finals.<\/p>\n
