Watch full FA Cup highlights from St. James’ Park as Brighton beat Newcastle to the quarter finals after extra time, with two red cards changing the game late on.<\/strong><\/p>\n It was Newcastle who broke the deadlock at St James’ Park on Sunday afternoon, with Yankuba Minteh gifting a penalty to his former team after a careless challenge on Anthony Gordon in the box.<\/p>\n After a questionable penalty against Nottingham Forest <\/a>last weekend, Alexander Isak<\/a> made no mistake from the spot with an emphatic strike into the top corner to give Newcastle the lead after 23 minutes.<\/p>\n Isak thought he had doubled the Magpies lead just 10 minutes later, but after smashing the ball past Bart Verbruggen his finish was quickly disallowed with the striker just caught offside.<\/p>\n Despite Newcastle’s dominance in the first half, Brighton were able to steal a goal back just seconds before half time with Minteh making up for his earlier mistake.<\/p>\n The midfielder was sent through on goal by Joao Pedro, and Minteh hit a low finish past Martin Dubravka to level the tie and silence the home fans.<\/p>\n It was the defences that came out on top during the second half, with the only real chance falling to Joe Willock who was unable to convert a cross from point blank range to give Newcastle a lead.<\/p>\nYankuba Minteh turns from villain to hero<\/h3>\n
