It has been confirmed that Andy Murray will reprise his coaching partnership with former rival Novak Djokovic.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Murray worked with the Serbian on a trial basis at the Australian Open in Melbourne back in January.<\/p>\n

Murray admitted the work was ‘demanding’ but Djokovic looked on top form during the tournament.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, an injury led to Djokovic retiring from his semi-final against\u00a0Alexander Zverev.<\/p>\n

Djokovic, 37, returned from injury at the Qatar Open. However, he did not receive any coaching assistance from Murray who was not present for the Serbian’s first-round exit.<\/p>\n

It has now been confirmed that Murray will coach Djokovic at both Indian Wells and the Miami Open this month, with future discussions to be held over the two working with each during the clay-court season which includes the French Open.<\/p>\n

Murray To Coach Djokovic At Indian Wells And Miami Open<\/h2>\n

As reported by Sky Sports,<\/a> Andy Murray will work with Novak Djokovic at two tournaments this month.<\/p>\n

Murray’s team has reportedly confirmed that the Brit flew out to the United States on Monday ahead of Indian Wells which takes place in California.<\/p>\n

Djokovic will look to take home the $1.2m in prize money<\/a> on offer for the winner at Indian Wells.<\/p>\n

The Serbian told the ATP Tour’s in-house media channel: “We had a chat the day after I finished [the Australian Open] – we reflected on the period we spent together.<\/em><\/p>\n

“We agreed he was going to take some time and think, speak with his family members and see if he decides to keep working.<\/em><\/p>\n

“I expressed my desire to continue the collaboration with him so I am really glad he did accept.<\/em><\/p>\n

“It is indefinite in terms of how long we are going to work together, but we agreed most likely in the States and some clay-court tournaments. We will see how it goes after that.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Murray’s coaching partnership with Djokovic will begin at Indian Wells with the main draw for that competition starting later this week.<\/p>\n

They will then go for glory at the Miami Open which starts on March 19.<\/p>\n

Andy Murray’s History With Novak Djokovic<\/h3>\n

Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic had an incredible on-court rivalry at a time when Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal also flourished in tennis.<\/p>\n

The pair met 36 times, with Djokovic leading 25-11 overall and 11-8 in finals.<\/p>\n

Their rivalry goes back to their time as juniors, with Murray just a week older than Djokovic. They even partnered in doubles at the 2006 Australian Open.<\/p>\n

They met four times in the final of the Australian Open and had other notable matches including the 2012 US Open, and semi-finals of the 2012 Olympics in London.<\/p>\n
