Newcastle’s Lewis Hall is set to miss the remainder of the season after picking up a foot injury.<\/strong><\/p>\n

England international Hall, 20, suffered the injury against Liverpool<\/a> last month, when his side lost 2-0 in the Premier League.<\/p>\n

The news comes as another blow for Eddie Howe’s Magpies, who face Liverpool again in the Carabao Cup final<\/a> on Sunday, 16 March.<\/p>\n

Key forward Antony Gordon will also be missing due to suspension.<\/p>\n

Lewis Hall Injury Another Setback For Newcastle<\/h2>\n

In a statement, Newcastle United said:\u00a0“[Hall will] undergo surgery before a period of rehabilitation with the club’s medical team.<\/p>\n

“Everyone at Newcastle United wishes Lewis the very best with his surgery and recovery.”<\/p>\n

Hall has made a total of 27 Premier League appearances for Newcastle this season, nailing down a spot in the starting XI as first-choice left-back.<\/p>\n

He made his senior international debut in November, coming off the substitutes bench as England beat Greece 3-0 in the Nations League.<\/p>\n

A consistent performer this season, Hall was expected to have been named in new Three Lions Thomas Tuchel’s first squad, which will be announced later this week.<\/p>\n

As it stands, Newcastle are currently sixth in the Premier League, and still in the hunt for Champions League football.<\/p>\n

They sit two points below fifth-placed Chelsea, and three below Manchester City<\/a> in fourth.<\/p>\n

It is thought that the club are in a good position to invest in the squad over the summer, with the latest financial results suggesting they will have money to spend before next season.<\/p>\n

Newcastle’s next fixture is a trip to London to face West Ham in the Premier League on Monday, 10 March.<\/p>\n

Attention then turns to Wembley, with the Carabao Cup final against Liverpool on Sunday, 16 March.<\/p>\n
