Josh Rock believes he now goes under the radar thanks to the darting dominance of Luke Littler. The Northern Irishman made his first televised major semi-final last week at the UK Open, and admits that Littler’s dominance has helped ease the pressure on his shoulders.

Josh Rock Relishing Going Under The Radar Thanks To Luke Littler’s Dominance

The sport of darts has never been as popular as it is today. Whether it be the World Darts Championship, the Premier League or even the World Cup of Darts, the sport has reached new heights of late.

This is majorly down to the Luke Littler effect. Ever since bursting onto the scene at the 2024 World Darts Championship as a 16-year-old, the popularity of darts has grown to a whole new level.

Now, everyone wants to watch the darts, in particular ‘The Nuke’. There is no debate that Littler’s impact has help bring the sport more into the mainstream too, with more eyeballs than ever on PDC and professional darts as a whole.

One man who is certainly thankful of Littler’s dominance since catapulting on the scene is Josh Rock. Rock, who currently sits 15th in the PDC Order of Merit, has revealed in a recent interview with Sky Sports that he has ‘The Nuke’ to thank for various reasons.

The main one of course being making the sport more popular than ever, but also for taking the pressure off the Northern Irishman’s shoulders. For that, ‘Rocky’ is very thankful to his Target teammate Luke Littler.

Rock: Littler’s Dominance Has ‘Completely Taken The Pressure Of Me’

Given Luke Littler‘s dominance since bursting on the scene, Josh Rock feels that this has allowed him and other players to go under the radar.

Rock, who the best UK betting sites have heavily backed for major success in his career, feels that Littler’s elite displays on the dartboard have taken the pressure off players like him who are chasing their first major title.

“I probably have to thank Luke [Littler]. I’m very good friends with Luke Littler and what he’s done for our sport is fantastic.

” I think what he’s done has helped me out in the long run. He’s won five majors in 10 months which is obviously fantastic, and I know I can still win a major. It’s completely taken the pressure off me,” Rock revealed in an interview with the Love The Darts podcast.

There is no doubt that Josh Rock has all of the talent and ability in the world to win a major tournament in darts. It is probably just a matter of time before the 23-year-old does just that. It could perhaps even be against Luke Littler in the final!

Be sure to claim the various darts betting offers and free bet deals available on the SportsCasting site ahead of the biggest tournament in world darts.
