Liverpool star Alisson Becker produced one of the best goalkeeping performances in Champions League history in Liverpool’s 1-0 victory against PSG.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Arne Slot’s<\/a> side will take a slender lead back to next week’s second-leg at Anfield – in large part due to Alisson’s<\/a> brilliance in goal.<\/p>\n

The Brazilian kept out the likes of Ousmane Dembele and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia\u00a0 – before Harvey Elliott came off the bench and scored with his first touch in the 87th minute.<\/p>\n

10. Alisson<\/h3>\n

Liverpool 2-0 Tottenham – 2019 Champions League Final<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The 2019 Champions League final is not remembered fondly but what is often forgotten about is Alisson’s excellent performance on that night.<\/p>\n

Liverpool<\/a> reached the final one year after Lorius Karius had a night to forget against Real Madrid<\/a> in the 2018 final.<\/p>\n

Alisson showed why Liverpool spent \u00a367m on him, making eight saves in the final against Tottenham.<\/a><\/p>\n

He thwarted the likes of\u00a0 Christian Eriksen, Son Heung-min, Lucas Moura and Harry Kane. Before Divock Origi sealed the victory after Mohamed Salah’s early penalty.\u00a0 – as Tottenham searched for an equaliser.<\/p>\n

9. Petr Cech<\/h3>\n

Barcelona 2-2 Chelsea – 2012 Champions League Semi-Final<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Petr Cech provided an inspired performance to help Chelsea<\/a> reach the 2012 Champions League final.<\/p>\n

The Blues were in serious trouble after goals from Sergio Busquets and Andres Iniesta put Barcelona<\/a> ahead either side of John Terry’s red card for violent conduct.<\/p>\n

With Roberto Di Matteo’s side down to 10 men, Cech produced several huge saves to keep Barcelona to just two goals on the night.<\/p>\n

He was rewarded as goals from Ramires and Fernando Torres sent Chelsea to the final. Cech would then go on to produce another of the greatest goalkeeping performances in Champions League history.<\/p>\n

8. Gianluigi Buffon<\/h3>\n

Juventus 0-0 AC Milan (2-3 on penalties) – 2003 Champions League Final<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The 2003 Champions League final between Juventus and AC Milan was far from a classic.<\/p>\n

Gianluigi Buffon ended up on the losing side but he showed why he was the best goalkeeper in the world at that time.<\/p>\n

His diving save from a Filippo Inzaghi header is one of the best in Champions League history.<\/p>\n

He continued to keep the Rossoneri at bay with a tremendous performance to take Juventus to a penalty shootout.<\/p>\n

Buffon saved penalties from Clarence Seedorf and Kakha Kaladze but it wasn’t enough to stop AC Milan from lifting the trophy.<\/p>\n
