Pingreen is back with their best tips ahead of GW28 as the FPL expert has selected the strongest options for your captain, defender, midfielder and forward.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hello FPL fans! My name is Pingreen, and I\u2019m back to share my top FPL tips for GW28 and beyond, right here on SportsCasting.<\/p>\n

I finished 700th in the world in 2022\/23 and ranked 1,330th last season, so make sure you take my advice seriously. Just like Matheus Cunha \u2013 this weeks picks can pack a punch for your FPL side.<\/p>\n

Pingreen FPL GW28 Tips<\/h2>\n

Captain Pick \u2013 Mohamed Salah \u2013 \u00a313.8m \u2013 SOU (H) <\/strong><\/p>\n

Last Gameweek, many others and I didn\u2019t captain Mohamed Salah for what felt like the first time in forever. Not because we didn\u2019t believe in him, but because Cole Palmer had a much better fixture on paper.<\/p>\n

Palmer managed to come away with no returns in a 4-0 win, while Salah got yet another attacking return. This week, I\u2019m back to putting the armband on the Egyptian King.<\/p>\n

I did consider Palmer again even after last week\u2019s disaster. Both players have great fixtures, with Salah at home to Southampton<\/a> and Palmer at home to Leicester.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s also an argument that Palmer\u2019s minutes are more secure, with Liverpool perhaps having one eye on their second leg European clash with PSG.<\/p>\n

However, Salah is just involved in everything Liverpool do, and I could never see him coming away with no returns in a 4-0 win like Palmer did last week.<\/p>\n

The Egyptian has been involved in 42 of Liverpool\u2019s 66 Premier League goals this campaign, compared to Palmer who\u2019s been involved in 20 of Chelsea\u2019s 52. That ratio, along with Salah\u2019s unbelievable underlying numbers, is enough to edge it for me.<\/p>\n

Defender \u2013 Daniel Munoz \u2013 \u00a35.0m \u2013 IPS (H)<\/strong><\/p>\n

What Daniel Munoz is doing this season is incredible and somehow doesn\u2019t feel like it\u2019s being talked about enough. He has 7 goal contributions this season, with 4 of those coming in his last 5 games.<\/p>\n

After a relatively slow start, the fullback is really showing Palace fans the attacking threat they thought they were getting when they signed him.<\/p>\n

His 0.3 xGI per 90 is the second highest figure for qualifying defenders in the Premier League, trailing only Liverpool\u2019s Trent Alexander-Arnold.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a fair amount higher than other popular picks like Lewis Hall (0.19 xGI) and Antonee Robinson (0.16 xGI). This week, the fullback is at home to Ipswich Town<\/a>, who boast the second lowest xG per 90 this season at just 0.94.<\/p>\n

But as I\u2019ve mentioned, Munoz\u2019s real appeal comes from his attacking threat. Do Ipswich fare much better as a defensive unit? No, they do not, also boasting the second highest expected goals conceded per 90 in the division.<\/p>\n

Midfielder \u2013 Christopher Nkunku \u2013 \u00a35.7m \u2013 LEI (H) <\/strong><\/p>\n

This pick wasn\u2019t easy to make. Nkunku punished me and many other FPL managers at the start of the season who were seduced by his low price point and high potential.<\/p>\n

Things soured quickly, as the Frenchman didn\u2019t manage 60 minutes in Gameweek 1 and was reduced to the bench in the following weeks.<\/p>\n

Fast forward to March 2025, and not only is he an option again, but a very good one at that. After an unfortunate injury to Nicolas Jackson, Nkunku was given the nod to start up top again, and it\u2019s an opportunity he\u2019s grabbed with both hands \u2013 picking up 2 goal contributions in his last 2 Premier League games.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a relatively small sample size, but he\u2019s averaged 0.82 xGI per 90 in his limited opportunities so far \u2013 which is a very good number if he can keep it up as he continues to get more minutes.<\/p>\n

His opponent this weekend is a woeful Leicester, who are giving up the 3rd highest amount of xG per 90 \u2013 I expect to see Nkunku blowing up a balloon in celebration this Sunday.<\/p>\n

Forward \u2013 Eddie Nketiah – \u00a35.9 \u2013 IPS (H) <\/strong><\/p>\n

Just like Nkunku, my forward pick is another player who looks to be gifted more opportunities and minutes due to an injury to a teammate.<\/p>\n

This time it\u2019s Eddie Nketiah, who looks likely to start up top for Crystal Palace after Mateta was on the wrong end of an incredibly ugly challenge in the FA Cup.<\/a><\/p>\n

Nketiah hasn\u2019t lived up to his \u00a330 million price tag since signing from Arsenal in the summer for the Eagles. He\u2019s made 19 Premier League appearances and just 6 starts this campaign, and has only picked up 1 goal along the way, missing a fair few chances you\u2019d really want your striker to put away.<\/p>\n

I do believe he can make the most of this latest opportunity, with a clash against Ipswich being the perfect time to get his campaign up and running.<\/p>\n

As already mentioned when talking about Munoz, Ipswich give up an abundance of big chances meaning the English striker won\u2019t get a better chance to double that 1-goal tally.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
