Pras returns with his latest set of FPL tips for Gameweek 28, revealing which players you should buy, hold and sell\/avoid ahead of the upcoming round of fixtures.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I\u2019m Pras, and welcome to my weekly series for\u00a0SportsCasting<\/em><\/a>, where I will be providing my thoughts on my FPL tips. For context, over the last 12 seasons of FPL, I have achieved four top 10k finishes, including two top 5k finishes. My seasonal average over the last seven seasons is around 21k. I am currently ranked 11k.<\/p>\n

Every week, I\u2019ll be giving you advice on whether to buy\/hold or sell the key defenders, midfielders and attackers in\u00a0FPL<\/a>. As a fixtures guy, my advice will always have a lens of immediate fixtures but also long-term viability and implications.<\/p>\n

FPL Gameweek 28 Tips: Who To Buy, Hold and Sell\/Avoid<\/h2>\n

Defenders<\/h3>\n

Buy<\/strong> \u2013 My advice over the last few weeks remains unchanged on this. I think those on a free hit in GW29 should consider Daniel Munoz, who has great fixtures before and after GW29. Munoz ranks third among defenders for expected goal involvement (xGI) in 2024\/25. For those who are looking to save the free hit, Milos Kerkez or Rayan Ait-Nouri are solid options with good fixtures not only this week, but in Blank Gameweek 29 and beyond.<\/p>\n

Hold<\/strong> \u2013 I know there is some mild panic on Trent Alexander-Arnold\u2019s minutes after the very difficult Champions League tie against PSG. After all, they play the second leg on Tuesday, followed by the Carabao Cup final a few days later. However, I just don\u2019t see the reason to risk selling him ahead of possibly the biggest upside fixture of the season, which is Southampton (H). Just last gameweek, all Chelsea defenders hauled in the same fixture. With Conor Bradley still out, it would take a Jarell Quansah start at right back, which I have difficulty seeing at the moment. I recognise it is a risk, but the potential reward is also very high. There have been 12 shots and 12 chances created over the last six gameweeks by Alexander-Arnold after all.<\/p>\n

Sell<\/strong> \u2013 Lewis Hall has been confirmed to be out for the season. If you own, I\u2019d still recommend waiting if you have three other reliable defenders and selling as close to the blank gameweek as possible. However, if not in this position of luxury, then the names in the Buy list suggested are all good alternatives.<\/p>\n

Midfielders<\/h3>\n

Buy<\/strong> \u2013 Here again I will need to separate my advice for those on free hit 29 and those who are not. Both Eberechi Eze and Justin Kluivert have created the league’s highest 17 chances during the last six gameweeks. Kluivert\u2019s output should only go up now that the team’s focal point Evanilson is back from injury. Meanwhile, Eze could take penalty duties in Jean-Philippe Mateta\u2019s unfortunate absence. Buy the Dutchman if saving the free hit in 29, and if playing it, buy Eze.<\/p>\n

Hold<\/strong> \u2013 Stop selling Cole Palmer. Yes, he\u2019s short of confidence and is not living up to his price. However, I see absolutely no need to get rid of him at a time when Saka is injured, Haaland isn\u2019t a necessity. Surely there are other issues in the team. Cole has built up 2.43 xG since the last time he scored back in Gameweek 21. His fixture this week against Leicester (H) and the one in GW30 vs Spurs (H) should really suit him, and I am expecting a big haul around the corner.<\/p>\n

Sell\/Avoid<\/strong> \u2013 The unfortunate red card for Antony Gordon means that despite his upcoming double in GW32, he is still someone who can be sold. Missing the West Ham and Brentford games when already blanking in GW29 means holding him is a luxury many might not be able to afford.<\/p>\n

Forwards<\/h3>\n

Buy<\/strong> \u2013 Look who makes a comeback to these articles \u2013 the most expensive player in the game is coming back onto the radar. Yes, it’s Erling Haaland. Delivering at least a goal or assist in seven of his last eight appearances, his only blank was in the Gameweek 21 draw against Brentford. Haaland racked up 12 big chances during that run, scoring six of them. With a confirmed fixture in the Blank Gameweek 29 and a home fixture against Leicester in GW30, make plans to bring him in soon.<\/p>\n

Hold<\/strong> \u2013 Alexander Isak\u2019s fitness has been a bit of an issue in the last couple of weeks. He missed the game against Liverpool and was subbed off with a knock in the FA Cup. Eddie Howe has said he is \u201cfine\u201d and available for West Ham. I\u2019d be inclined to hold on and play him.<\/p>\n

Sell\/Avoid<\/strong> \u2013 Cunha, like Antony Gordon, received a straight red over the FA Cup weekend. Very unfortunate for his owners, as he was potentially a captaincy candidate in GW29, where he was playing Southampton. As this is his second ban of the season, the punishment could extend well beyond three matches. He is a sell unfortunately.<\/p>\n
