Respected FPL tips expert Big Man Bakar is back ahead of Gameweek 28 as he runs the rule over the hot topics and questions facing managers.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Premier League returns for a full round of weekend games (GW28) that are spread over Saturday, Sunday and Monday in what could also turn out to be a crucial set of fixtures for FPL<\/a> managers still hunting bragging rights in their respective leagues.<\/p>\n

To help along the way BigManBakar<\/a> answers the main talking points.<\/p>\n

FPL Tips Gameweek 28: Big Man Bakar With His Top Advice<\/h2>\n

Q) Who is the best captain this week – Salah or Palmer?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

I think this is the most difficult dilemma of the week to address.<\/p>\n

Salah was my planned captain choice post-Gameweek 27, but recent developments are making me reconsider.<\/p>\n

With Liverpool set to face PSG soon after a difficult midweek outing, Salah\u2019s game time could be managed, especially with Arne Slot hinting at rotation.I’m confident that he starts, but the risk of getting subbed this week is definitely higher than usual.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s reasonable to argue that Salah could make an impact in just 70 to 75 minutes against a terrible Southampton side, although Palmer’s chances against a similarly weak Leicester are arguably just as high.<\/p>\n

The bookmakers give Salah an 83% chance of scoring or assisting this week, slightly ahead of Palmer at 78%, with Salah also having marginally better clean sheet odds.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a close call this week, making Palmer a great pick for those chasing rank, while Salah remains the safer choice for managers protecting their rank or mini-league leads.<\/p>\n

I’ll probably make a call tomorrow depending on which side of the bed I wake up on.<\/p>\n

Q) Is this a good week to save a transfer?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Rolling a transfer this week seems like the easiest move, allowing for a better-informed decision ahead of Gameweek 29.<\/p>\n

A lot of teams have used up plenty of their free transfers in the doubles over the past few weeks so this is a good week to start stacking up some transfers to increase flexibility in order to prepare for the blanks and doubles to come later.<\/p>\n

With potential cup updates on the horizon, saving transfers could be vital in reacting to new developments.<\/p>\n

By rolling the transfer, you’ll have more room to maneuver in the coming weeks, particularly if you want to target Erling Haaland as your Gameweek 29 captain.<\/p>\n

Q) Who is the best forward to buy this week? <\/strong>Best Cunha replacement?<\/h3>\n

If you have seven playable attackers and have the luxury to bench Cunha<\/strong>, I’d probably do it as saving a transfer could be significant this week.<\/p>\n

If you don’t have the luxury of a deep bench, I’d get Chris Wood, if possible.Wood is one of the few strikers that stand out at the moment.<\/p>\n

Decent fixtures till the second Wildcard, likely penalty duties, nailed-on status, and a great Gameweek 29 fixture\u2014he checks all the boxes.<\/p>\n

If you’re in the market for a Cunha replacement and can’t quite stretch to Chris Wood, Beto should be your man.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s in a rich vein of form, having scored five goals in his previous five fixtures, and he comes at an affordable price, making him an attractive option for fantasy teams.<\/p>\n

His position in the starting lineup seems secure, ensuring that he will likely receive consistent minutes on the pitch.Additionally, he has a guaranteed fixture in Gameweek 29, which further enhances his appeal.<\/p>\n

Q) Who is the best Lewis Hall replacement?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

I’d probably stretch to Gvardiol – if possible.Man City have a decent stretch of fixtures till the second time you’d have to use your Wildcard.<\/p>\n

If you’re Free Hitting in Gameweek 29, then buying Munoz is easy!<\/p>\n

Q) What to do with Joao Pedro\/Dango?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

I’d probably keep both.I realize that both are minutes risks but any transfer that involves selling either seems like a luxury this week.<\/p>\n

Both Ouattara and Joao Pedro have solid fixtures this week, are budget-friendly, and could be valuable for Gameweek 29 if their minutes hold up.<\/p>\n

Without any concrete evidence to suggest that they have lost their place, selling either could turn out to be counter intuitive.<\/p>\n

Q) Should Rogers be sold this week?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"Brentford<\/p>\n

If yes, who is the best replacement?With an upcoming blank to follow, Rogers is a sell soon.<\/p>\n

He’s not a priority sell this week but could be moved on if you have the luxury of spare free transfers available.<\/p>\n

Semenyo at a similar price would be the most appealing replacement.<\/p>\n

Semenyo is the top Bournemouth midfielder to own, being the only attacker in the team currently guaranteed 90 minutes while also being affordably priced.<\/p>\n

Q) Should we Free Hit in 29?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The answer to this question is team dependent.If you have saved transfers in recent weeks and are not heavily loaded up on Newcastle, Palace, or Villa, you’ve given yourself an easier route through Blank Gameweek 29 without needing to burn a chip.<\/p>\n

I think that is an ideal scenario, as it allows you to save the Free Hit chip for later.<\/p>\n
