On a nervy night in West Yorkshire, Leeds had to work for their victory in order to move back above Sheffield United<\/a> at the top of the table.<\/p>\n

Daniel Farke’s side had fallen below the Blades after Sheffield United’s 1-1 draw with Bristol City on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

But Leeds got back to winning ways for the first time in March, having drawn with West Brom and lost to Portsmouth.<\/p>\n

The defeat to Pompey was their first loss in 17 league matches, and cost them top spot until tonight.<\/p>\n

But victory against Millwall means Leeds<\/a> now have a two-point lead over Sheffield United, and a four-point gap to third-placed Burnley.<\/p>\n

Leeds were gifted an early advantage when Manor Solomon’s cut-back cross found its way in off the leg of Millwall defender Jake Cooper.<\/p>\n

But despite Solomon smashing one against the crossbar, it wasn’t until the 85th minute that the hosts doubled their advantage and made the result safe.<\/p>\n

Ao Tanaka eventually grabbed Leeds’ second with a first-time strike from the edge of the box five minutes from full time.<\/p>\n
