Here are our England Vs Italy player ratings after Sunday’s Six Nations match in Twickenham, which saw England win 47-24.<\/strong><\/p>\n

England Vs Italy Player Ratings<\/h2>\n

England:<\/h3>\n

15 \u2013 Elliot Daly: 8<\/h4>\n

Started at 13 but quickly moved to midfield after Ollie Lawrence’s<\/a> first-half injury. Looks back to his best and was pivotal in the English attack<\/p>\n

14 \u2013 Tommy Freeman: 8<\/h4>\n

Fourth try in as many games and continues to be England’s<\/a> best finisher, could be a late Lions bolter?<\/p>\n

13 \u2013 Ollie Lawrence: N\/A<\/h4>\n

Absolutely gutting for the Bath centre to go off early with what looked like a ruptured Achilles. Sadly, that’s his season and Lions chances over, and we wish him a speedy recovery.<\/p>\n

12 \u2013 Fraser Dingwall: 7<\/h4>\n

Got on with his job as the ‘glue guy’ in England’s midfield. Comparison to Manchester City<\/a> Ballon d’Or winner Rodri might be a stretch, but Dingwall was very good at 12.<\/p>\n

11 \u2013 Ollie Sleightholme: 7<\/h4>\n

Much better from the winger and was rewarded with a well-finished try after some slick hands from England’s forwards.<\/p>\n

10 \u2013 Fin Smith: 7<\/h4>\n

Growing in confidence as an international fly-half and linked up well with his club teammates across the back line.<\/p>\n

9 \u2013 Alex Mitchell: 8<\/h4>\n

His best performance of the tournament so far. Speed of ball, knowing when to kick and when to attack, he looked a different player against the Italians.<\/p>\n

1 \u2013 Ellis Genge: 7<\/h4>\n

Got around the park and was a willing carrier as always. Not his most notable performance but kept his head down and got through plenty of important work.<\/p>\n

2 \u2013 Jamie George: 8<\/h4>\n

Perfect with his darts and gave a lovely offload for Ollie Sleightholme’s try. A fitting performance to celebrate his 100th England cap.<\/p>\n

3 \u2013 Will Stuart: 8<\/h4>\n

Dancing feet to beat an Italian defender, and made a huge contribution despite very few scrums to get his teeth into.<\/p>\n

4 \u2013 Maro Itoje: 8<\/h4>\n

Must now be on the plane to Australia. A great shift and settling into the captaincy very well.<\/p>\n

5 \u2013 Ollie Chessum: 9<\/h4>\n

Man-of-the-match and putting his name into the Lions debate with every game. The Leicester lock was absolutely immense and deserved his post-match award.<\/p>\n

6 \u2013 Tom Curry: 7<\/h4>\n

Completed a hat-trick of tries for the English back row and was excellent on both sides of the ball once more.<\/p>\n

7 \u2013 Ben Earl: 7<\/h4>\n

Everywhere around the park yet again, even filling in at 12 for the final quarter as England’s 6-2 bench split and the early Lawrence injury left them short in the backs.<\/p>\n

8 \u2013 Tom Willis: 7<\/h4>\n

Started off proceedings with a dominant score and carried relentlessly all day, another massive shift.<\/p>\n

Replacements: 7<\/h4>\n

Marcus Smith<\/a> played almost a full game and deserved plenty of credit. Ben Curry as always impressed when he came on.<\/p>\n

The whole England bench brought something when they arrived on the field and were a credit to their side.<\/p>\n

Italy<\/h3>\n

15 \u2013 Ange Capuozzo: 8<\/h4>\n

Showed his electrifying attacking talent to set up a try on the counter-attack and was a handful for the England defence all game.<\/p>\n

14 \u2013 Monty Ioane: 6<\/h4>\n

Deft kick through to set up Capuozzo’s score but was otherwise largely shut down.<\/p>\n

13 \u2013 Juan Ignacio Brex: 7<\/h4>\n

Excellent in defence and offered himself well in attack, another strong performance.<\/p>\n

12 \u2013 Tommaso Menoncello: 7<\/h4>\n

Much like Brex, worked hard in defence and got involved with some good carries in attack.<\/p>\n

11 \u2013 Matt Gallagher: 6<\/h4>\n

His first Six Nations game and didn’t put a foot wrong, but also failed to have much noticeable impact.<\/p>\n

10 \u2013 Paolo Garbisi: 6<\/h4>\n

Solid but uninspiring performance. Didn’t play badly, but was mostly anonymous – particularly in the second half.<\/p>\n

9 \u2013 Stephen Varney: 6<\/h4>\n

Italy<\/a> looked better with Martin Page-Relo on the field, but there were some decent moments from Varney in the first period.<\/p>\n

8 \u2013 Ross Vintcent: 8<\/h4>\n

Gassed Marcus Smith to score a wonderful try and was superb throughout. A really good performance.<\/p>\n

7 \u2013 Michele Lamaro: 6<\/h4>\n

Hasn’t hit the heights of previous tournament’s this year. Will be disappointed with his minimal impact again.<\/p>\n

6 \u2013 Sebastian Negri: 8<\/h4>\n

Top carrier and second-top tackler, a huge effort from Negri and one if Italy’s best performers on the day.<\/p>\n

5 \u2013 Federico Ruzza: 6<\/h4>\n

Big shift to play the full 80 minutes and worked tirelessly till the final whistle.<\/p>\n

4 \u2013 Niccolo Cannone: 6<\/h4>\n

Fourteen tackles and a lot of grating in the engine room, a good display and solid effort.<\/p>\n

3 \u2013 Marco Riccioni: 6<\/h4>\n

Was solid at set-piece and got around the field well. Made plenty of tackles for a front row forward.<\/p>\n

2 \u2013 Giacomo Nicotera: 5<\/h4>\n

Big physicality in the tight but missed a fair few tackles and got stepped by Will Stuart.<\/p>\n

1 \u2013 Danilo Fischetti: 6<\/h4>\n

Decent day at the office, lots of endeavour. Wasn’t noticeable for good or bad things.<\/p>\n

Replacements: 6<\/h4>\n
