Manchester City vs Brighton Preview<\/h2>\n

Manchester City\u2019s 2024\/25 Premier League campaign has not gone according to plan after winning the previous four league titles – becoming the first team to win the league in four consecutive seasons.<\/p>\n

Pep Guardiola finds himself in unknown territory as the Cityzens are not only out of the title race but also outside the coveted top four positions in the table.<\/p>\n

City suffered a ninth defeat of the season in their most recent league match, losing 1-0 to Nottingham Forest away from home.<\/a><\/p>\n

As for Brighton, they have been on a superb run of form across all competitions since losing 7-0 to Nottingham Forest back in February.<\/p>\n

The Seagulls are currently on a winning streak of six matches, which includes two victories in the FA Cup<\/a> as they will compete in the quarter finals of the competition.<\/p>\n

Fabian Hurzeler\u2019s side picked up a 2-1 win over Fulham in their most recent league fixture and are now just three points away from the top four.<\/p>\n

These two clubs have already faced off in the Premier League this season, as the Seagulls secured a late comeback to win 2-1 at the Amex Stadium.<\/p>\n

Manchester City vs Brighton Team News<\/h2>\n

The hosts will be without Rodri,\u00a0Nathan Ake, Manuel Akanji, John Stones, and Oscar Bobb as they all continue to be sidelined with long-term injuries.<\/p>\n

Guardiola has a decision to make in the attacking area of the pitch, as Phil Foden and Kevin De Bruyne continue to struggle meaning Omar Marmoush and Jeremy Doku could start on Saturday.<\/p>\n

The Seagulls have a host of injury concerns themselves as Ferdi Kadioglu, Igor Julio, James Milner and Jason Steele are all unavailable for the trip to Manchester.<\/p>\n

Alongside this list of injuries, Lewis Dunk, Joel Veltman and Matt O’Riley are all nearing a return and will face a late fitness test before the match.<\/p>\n
