Everton came into this game on an eight-match unbeaten run, looking to continue their resurgence under David Moyes. Their recent 1-1 draw with Wolves kept them in 15th place, level on points with 16th-placed West Ham, adding to the stakes of this game.<\/p>\n

The first half saw few clear-cut chances, with Jordan Pickford making an important save early on from a deflected Jarrod Bowen effort.<\/p>\n

Everton grew into the game, with Beto having a flurry of chances around the 25th minute, but he failed to test Alphonse Areola.<\/p>\n
