Arsenal academy goalkeeper Alexei Rojas has provided a behind-the-scenes glimpse as to what a day in the life of a player that trains with Mikel Arteta’s squad every day looks like.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ever wondered what a day in the life of a professional footballer at Arsenal<\/a> looks like? Well, wonder no more, as 19-year-old goalkeeper Alexei Rojas has provided a behind-the-scenes glimpse of what life is like at London Colney.<\/p>\n

Rojas, who joined the Gunners from Chelsea in 2019, trains with Mikel Arteta<\/a>‘s first team every day.<\/p>\n

He is a Colombia youth international, having been selected to represent the nation at the 2023 South American U-20 Championship. Rojas is also eligible to turn out for England<\/a>, his birth country, and Russia through his mother.<\/p>\n

Alexei Rojas’ Day In The Life As An Arsenal Player<\/h2>\n

Posting on his TikTok account (@alexeirojas1), the youngster revealed that he gets up early in the morning and leaves his house at 8am to get to Arsenal’s training ground by 8:15am.<\/p>\n

\u201cHere is what a day in my life looks like as a professional footballer at Arsenal Football Club.<\/p>\n

\u201cI left my house at 8am to get to the training ground for quarter past eight. I always know it\u2019s going to be a great day when the sun is out.\u201d<\/p>\n

He then opts to have a large breakfast to help hit his protein goals, as well as to fuel up with carbohydrates, before heading down to the gym for ‘prep and activation’ ahead of joining his teammates on the pitch.<\/p>\n

\u201cI then have my usual pre-training breakfast, which is an egg omelette, sourdough bread, avocado on top, accompanied by yoghurt with berries.<\/p>\n

“This way I\u2019m able to hit my protein to help maintain and build muscle and have the carbohydrates to fuel myself for training.<\/p>\n

\u201cI then headed down to the gym to do my prep and activation, where I replicate movements that I\u2019m going to do out on the pitch. I train with the first team every day, so it\u2019s a great environment for me to learn and develop as a young goalkeeper.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rojas returns to the gym for an upper body strength session after training, followed by another meal at lunchtime.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter training I go back to the gym to do an upper body strength session, which is so important for us goalkeepers.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter gym I head up to have lunch, where we have a wide selection of proteins, carbohydrates and salads.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday\u2019s lunch was spaghetti with salmon and beetroot. This way I\u2019m able to refuel with carbohydrates and hit my protein with the salmon.\u201d<\/p>\n
